In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Well, ive seen the footage of why i have been banned, nothing wrong with the ban at all, all in perfect order to give out. I Know the rules of the server and all in all i done it out of being pissed off a little. Just as we were attempting to kidnap the fella outside bahama mammas he radio'd in, now lets be honest, if you have 2 guns to your head the last thing you're going to do is; radio in, grab your phone, grab your weapons move your hands anywhere at all. The person was taking the piss walking really slow after getting told to hurry up, his mates obviously turned up to the situation purely because he said something on the radio. Now, rule '(G2.4) Value of Life' doesnt say anything about this scenario but all in all youre not grabbing a radio when 2 guns are to your head lets be honest. Basic common sense. After this happened we were killed and both were fuming that he done that so left the game in rage. Later on i logged back on still pissed off because im outside of their gang spot knowing im about to get my ass terrored by all of them. My RP was bad because of the recent situation, im not going to deny anything everything i done was wrong. Just out of rage the fact this happened. Another report was made about NLR but id like to explain that if Yu Wong is reading this which he probably will be. Shortly after we were killed, YogiBare began to beef us at the hospital and attempted to stab one of us so we kidnapped him and 2 members showed up to save him which then made them look for a white RS which i have watched a video from Kieron on Medal of them looking out for me. NLR was not broke in any way shape or form just a situation which the gang started again. We were going to leave them alone because of the pure fact we cba with them if they're going to delay and not really value life in my opinion. The situation was brought onto us.

Why should we unban you ?: I Know my chances of an unban are pretty slim, theres footage on the ban request that show how incompetent i can be within RP, this was a one off. As ive mentioned i was pissed off at the scenario and how it played out so just decided to quit the game and go chill out IRL had a bevvy etc. Permanent ban in my opinion is harsh considering ive seen other bans for RDM, VDM and stuff that actually have a direct impact on people RP. Understood this has/had an impact but not to the extent of RDM. ive seen 1 day bans for RDM? I Left joined back and lost my stuff. I Apologise for my actions and i will make sure this will not happen again. I wont be going anywhere near the gang as i can imagine they're not enjoying the fact we were after them. As i thought they were finding it abit of drama for the day as on the phone Yu Wong (Thomas) sounded like he was having a laugh with me. If i knew they were genuinely OOC not enjoying it i would of called it a day. No rules will be further broken if this appeal is accepted. Thank you for reading this - Glen OBrien.

I would first like to start with a short lesson on why we take combat logging so seriously and why it is a perm ban where as rdm can be a temp ban. Firstly, combat logging completely ruins any form of immersion, which instantly pulls everyone involved out of rp. Combat logging is done with intent, you do not accidentally combat log, you do it on purpose with the intention of "getting your own back" on someone when the situation doesn't go your way. Now, of course, there are losses of internet or crashes, which if you provide proof, no ban will be placed. As for RDM, mistakes can happen, situations can be read wrong, but ultimately, while irritating and annoying, its usually something that can be resolved quickly and doesn't fully break RP. This is not to say that we do not take RDM seriously, we do, but we understand that everyone is human and its not fair to tarnish someone who made a small mistake with the same brush as people that deliberately RDM for the "fun" of it. These people will be mopped up with the fair ban system that increases ban length every rule break. 

Now, as to your "reason" for combat logging. You claim that the person broke a rule by not valuing their lives. Now, I am not here to discuss whether or not that is true, but I can say that if you believe it to be the case, just report them. Do not take things into your own hands and apply your own justice by combat logging. The reason for this is that you can never be objective when something happens to you. Its the same reason that despite being staff, we do not ban people in which we are involved with. If I believe someone has RDMed me, I will record it and report it like anyone else. I will not dispense my own justice because I know that it is not always possible to be perfectly objective about a situation that involves you. So I let other staff deal with it, whom I trust to do the job properly. 

Now, with all this being said, can you at least understand why you ban needs to be appealed, and why it is such an issue to combat log?

 Understood mate, as ive mentioned out of anger and being pissed off i just logged off n went and done some stuff IRL. I know i broke the rule, i knew at the time what i was doing but i was just annoyed at the scenario which went down. Im not here to say 'He broke a rule so i did' im sure as Kieron being in the syndicate there is some reason he is allowed to radio in before maybe being told not to, at the time if just felt like a total delay of time especially when i was outside there gang spot it was pure pressure. In no way was it acceptable to Combat log at all.

I Understand the harsher punishment now for (C2.3) as for the temp bans for RDM and VDM and i agree about the reason given for the harsher bans. I Never really looked at it in a way as you've explained.

Finally, i understand why the ban is needed to be appealed. I knew from the get go what the outcome of this would be and knew it would of ended in a ban, perm or not i should of not carried through with the Log and stayed on and took the L. After reading the first part of your reply i understand as why combat logging has a bigger impact on RP as i first thought it did. As i just seen it as 'Hes left oh well' but i see it can intrude and disrupt any further roleplay that is wanted to be played off. I Understood the rule (C2.3) itself and from the start knew what the rule entailed and what its set in place for, as for any replies asking 'Why did you do it then' its simple. I was annoyed. As ive said in my appeal i done it out of anger and its that simple. What is going to stop me from doing it out of 'anger' in the future? The fact ive had this punishment and i now know how serious this is took and also reading Bowen's explanation of why its punished as it is has educated me on the lengths that conbat logging has an effect.

Look, I'm going to take you at face value here and accept that this was a one off and you just made a mistake. I genuinely hope that I am correct in doing this. I will go ahead and unban you but I am going to say, as I do to everyone in this situation, that if you do this again, there is no coming back within 6 months. I really hope you learn from this and just keep cool next time. We are all human, and we all make mistakes. The thing that sets apart as the smart, and the not, is learning from those mistakes. Welcome back, don't let me know.
