Why do you think you were banned: For logging out during a RP scenario
Why should we unban you: Because I have learnt from my critical error and understand completely why I was banned. I completely and utterly regret my decision. I know this is no excuse for a rule break, however I thought it would be relevant to understand my thought process. It was late in the night and I was literally seconds away from logging off as I work early morning. An RP scenario was played out in front of my eyes and i died. I had no mental motivation to finish the scenario, I knew it would take a really long time and it was already getting far too late. With hindsight, of course I would continue to play out the scenario and log off when it is safe to do so. However, in the heat of the moment, I know I just wasn't able to mentally play it out as I was ready to call it a night. Hence why I logged off and thought it was time for myself to go to sleep. This is not an excuse however I am just explaining my rationale.

After a long hiatus from all gaming, I am a completely different person and have fully learn from my mistakes. I whole heartedly understand why these rules are in place and why breaking them is such a serious matter. Ensuring the server is RP at all times is what makes it such a fun and exciting server, you really do immerse yourself into the world and your character. It's imperative to keep this element of the server. The mistake I made completely neglected this and deservedly I was banned. Now that I have taken a step back and realised what this meant, I am 100% ready to commit to immersion and ready to become a loved and active member of the server I was once. This mistake will never ever be repeated again as I seek to keep the integrity of the world in tact.

I hold my hands up and recognise this is fully unacceptable. I have made a lot of connections in the city with lots of individuals and groups, and think I bring a good overall level of roleplay to the sever. The city has provided me with much needed stress relief during a turbulent time. I can only learn from my mistakes and hope you can understand my point of view. I was at the casino with a "friend" (somebody i met like an hour previously) and she was just causing a nuisance to people who perhaps don't see the funny side to things. So of course they felt threatened and proceed to RP out a scenario where they were attacking her. I tried to diffuse the situation as I really didn't know the "friend" and had no intention of causing any quarrels. I was a fairly peaceful citizen who enjoyed taxi work and driving fun cars. Anyway, I did possess a weapon on me at this time, so I did withdrew this as I felt very threatened for my safety, at which point I was surrounded by 6/7 of them. Long story short I was shot dead and tied and put in the boot of a car. I could hear them discussing where they wanted to go and dump me etc, and we were taking the highway to Sandy Shores. Like I explained, it was very very late for myself and I just had 0 motivation to play out the scenario, I didn't really have much on my possession (a few K in money, a phone ID and a weapon) so I wasn't logging to try and escape this, it was purely a "can't be bothered it's too late" situation.

Yes I'm fairly sure the lady who instigated the whole scenario was also in the boot of the car next to me, as they also shot her dead. I couldn't recall a name or anything as like I said, we were just hanging out around the casino, didn't really have any affiliation with her or any of the people who shot me dead.

My other friend who watched it go down as he was just getting towards the casino, I think his RP name was Robert McCall but I don't know if he stills logs into the city. But he saw what happened.

I know this reflects poorly on myself, which I can absolutely understand, it's not a valid excuse but after some time away and with a renewed motivation to get back into RP, there's no other server I want to join and be a part of again. I've fully learnt that is unacceptable and would never repeat the same mistake, no matter how late or tired I am. The immersion and RP is crucial to the success of the server. This will not be compromised again. Hope you can understand.

Do you not feel as if you've ruined other players roleplay by just logging out because you had no motivation to continue?
Correct me if I'm wrong, however, this does sound a lot like a win/loss mentality to me - Perhaps if you had won this situation and not gone down then you would've had the motivation to continue?

I know, I absolutely did ruin somebody else's fun, by disregarding who this would effect when I committed the error, my thought process at the time of course wasn't this. With hindsight, and time away I absolutely agree with yourself. It was a selfish action with not much thought given as to why the rule is in place, to keep the experience pure and fun for everyone.

In regards to a win/loss scenario I respectfully would say I disagree, I was quite literally about to leave the city regardless, there was no "win" for myself in the scenario. If they left us alone, I wouldn't have gained anything tangible, I wasn't looking to gain anything, just to diffuse a situation and would have logged out regardless. This scenario would have been much quicker than being taken to who knows where and having to RP it out and wait for medical. A diffused situation could have been resolved in minutes and I was going to log.

Like I explained, it's not an excuse but that was my thought process. Of course , I understand the severity of the mistake and why they are in place. It is very imperative to keep the server exactly what it is. I think I deserve a second chance to bring some of the best enjoyment I've had in my entire gaming life back again.

I appreciate the quick responses!

I am looking to make a similar return to Mr Martin, who was a a hardened ex military forces turned into a personal driver/bodyguard/"minder". He's a reserved character until he places his trust in new people. Quite a mysterious figure.

His backstory is that he now finds himself away from the stress of the military, he's come into the city feeling disenfranchised as the system has left him nothing. So he is now looking to make a better life for himself by using the skills he's learnt over his career. Be this legal or illegal ways. He's very intelligent and extremely strategic in his moves. He likes to keep a low profile and is a reserved and tough nut to crack, but he's open and friendly enough with everyone that he encounters.

I can provide high quality roleplay in terms having highly impressive communication skills, which are very adaptable to all kinds of different scenarios and people. As the character can meddle in some illegal activities but also likes to keep a legal cover, I can provide roleplay with gangs/police, with a calm and collected manner but a nasty side if necessary. but also innocent people who are just in the city to make friends and make their way legally. I enjoy creating RP scenarios with folks from all walks of life within the city and felt I have brought great joy and experiences to the people I had met whilst I was in the city.
