Reason given for your ban: C2.3

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I had to check when first banned as I generally wasn't sure why, but it turns out it was for combat logging. I know the situation that caused this and at the time I thought all RP scenarios had been finish and I was ok to log out as it was late. I had been dumped by a gang and waited well over 10mins before logging out. I fully roleplayed the whole scenario, and was upset to find out this has occurred. Moving forward I am going to set up recording myself to help with disputes like this but more importantly if in doubt I will ask in OOC, or go to Discord if I need clarification, or better still just wait until I can die and go to pill box. I love this server and community and understand how important RP is, I would have a worse experiencing if someone was to combat log while I am RPing, so my intentions are to never make this worse. I hope you can find a spot for me back in this server, and I can assure you I wont make the same mistake, its been a long month and I am really keen to play again :)

Why should we unban you ?: As mentioned above, I take this server serious and I understand the effects combat logging can/could have. I to enjoy RPing, and hope that everyone else stays within the rules. I am also going to use a body cam moving forward to further protect myself and other players, and so we have footage if ever needed. I have so much to give and some great RP ideas if I was to be allowed back :)

Good afternoon @FlexxDW, welcome back to the unban appeals!

You were previously banned for the exact same rule break being C2.3, you've also been a member of this server for a long period of time giving you plenty of opportunities to familiarize yourself with the rule.
You've clearly not learned your lesson since the first time you ended up here, why should we entertain the appeal a second time? 

 
I understand fully how this can look, and appreciate your concerns. This was a stupid mistake and was easily avoided but just waiting a couple more minutes, I just thought the RP had been done and I was fine to go to sleep. Its so stupid and I have missed my time in the server massively. I really do take the RP serious and try to make it fun for everyone, and will continue to do so. I will also now be recording just to add an extra layer of safety. 

All I can say is I assume you this wont happen again, I really do understand the importance of every rule and how it can impact everyone's experience.

If you happen to end up in this situation again, please tell me what you would do differently? 

If you are downed, and need to leave due to an emergency out of character, what are the steps you'd take if needing to disconnect?

Thanks for coming back to me, I would reach out in OOC chat, explaining the situation and checking if its ok to leave. I could also see if the people in the RP situation are available to come to discord so I can explain that I need to leave and apologies for disrupting the RP. Failing all of this I would just leave myself logged in and not log out so its clear I haven't just logged out. I will also make sure to record my gameplay and only play when there are minimal distractions in my house etc (I.E late at night when kids in bed).

Hi @FlexxDW,

The only thing I would add to that, is there are always discord tickets you can open to inform staff and it can be logged.

On with the appeal as a whole, it's been almost a year in-between your combat logging bans but that doesn't excuse the fact you've still completely disregarded the rule. 
I am willing to give you a second chance at returning from a permanent ban, please do not make me regret this and ensure you are up to scratch on the rules before re-joining. 

Any ban you receive within the next 6 months will land you straight back here and it will be extremely difficult for you to appeal another ban as we likely will not be wanting to entertain it. 

I hope you bring some quality RP with you on your return to the server! 🙂
