Why do you think you were banned: We spent a few days as a gang discussing after some help from Charles and Isak via a ticket that of which is much appreciated and we are thankful for the help as that help has in turn allowed us to identify our mishap, we widdled it down from the dates given and from the clips we have to the 30th where during a fight with ballas inside the casino 95% of clips you can hear the majority of the gang communicating via discord. We also in the time discussed ways of preventing this as pro-activeness is much better than promises very often we found ourselves in discord and trying to make sure we don't meta-game so hopefully with the new rules in place this worry will be no longer, the rule we've added into the gang discord will be shown below, You will probably also notice the proposal off a staff presences within the discord whom of which has access to the voice channels to further monitor how the rule is being enforced we understand we shouldn't have to be monitored to follow simple rules but the presence of staff just being there will hopefully further help in prevention we hope this is something that can be discussed between staff and leads of the gang. (This was typed out as a group during our calls and will be placed in the unban appeals of those appealing and will leave all members to "dispute" there involvement)
Why should we unban you: I'm starting off by admitting that I did metagame and take responsibility of the action I've committed. When I was the leader of the Chippieones I was very new to the game and was trying to understand the way of gang life within the city, certain people would give me hints and tips sometimes to help me along the way but as they weren't on the game I didn't see this as metagaming. When playing the game I wanted to follow the rules as closely as possible because of how much I enjoyed roleplaying within the server. When I was leader I would love the aspect of recruiting people around the city to join The Chippieones, we would add them to the discord and get to know them well. I think that meeting strangers over a game, then eventually getting to know them really well whilst speaking to them every day makes it a very exciting concept as you'd find different characters and people.
The Chippieones discord was always a place of light-hearted fun. We never intended to make people's Roleplaying experiences the way we wouldn't want it ourselves, we would all try and stand by the rules as strictly as we could because we all had enthusiasm to play the game. On to the ban itself, we were warned multiple times by staff to calm down as we were treading on thin ice a lot of the time, some of our fellow members had multiple bans including myself, making mistakes whilst playing the game as we would all play extremely long periods of time throughout the day and into the night. But overall, I think out with the bans that all of us have received over the course of our time playing, the people within the Chippieones circle have all been very good consistent role-players as they flourish when in situations. Some of the members had different characters but stuck to the role of their character convincingly.
Most of the time in Discord we'd chat but when a situation came up that one of us needed to deal with we'd go on deafened. I do admit that after some situations had occurred the odd word would slip out about it but we'd never take anything into action unless it was discussed in the game. Over the past couple of days, we've all had a chat on how to prevent us from slipping up again if given the chance back on the server. We would implement different channels within our Discord to make sure you can not metagame whilst playing, but will also have the option to chat when not active as well. We are confident it would work as we'd request staff to monitor our actions so we keep on track with the RPUK rules.
Moving on to if I was allowed back into the server what would I do? Well, firstly I would make another character that's not involved with the gang side but has a clean slate classic hard-working citizen wherever a job may show up. I would hope to keep Vito as he was my first important character within the city and also Graeme Kidd as I was just beginning to build a proper story with Graeme, with Graeme I'd still be involved with the gang life as that's where I think Graeme belongs to, but he'd start in a new environment around new people and new scenery.
