In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned due to sending a discord link via message on the phone in game.

Why should we unban you ?: Unfortunately, whilst mining for the first time on the server, I was banned for sending a discord link to someone on the phone. Leading up to this, my friend was going to show me how to mine and we were joined by another player new to mining. As we were chatting in game, I wanted to send her a link to the social media submissions as we had previously mentioned this in earlier conversation. I assumed that I had copied and pasted the message correctly from the Roleplay UK discord server, however unfortunately, I had a different link (discord) on my clipboard which sent instead. I genuinely thought that I had used CTRL V correctly but it seems not. It has in fact resulted in myself sending a link which I had previously used outside of this server via discord itself. As soon as I pressed send on the message, I just saw the link as it disappeared into the phone, and I had realised I messed up. I have been on a variety of FiveM server and even run one myself so fully understand the importance of rules being in place and that everyone should follow them to make the server the best it can be for every player. On this occasion a mixture of stupidity and haste led to me sending this link which was 100% accidental. Roleplay.co.uk has been the server ive been spending most of my time on recently, and the first economy server ive played on. Over my very short period of playing (Approx 2 weeks) I have enjoyed what the server has to offer and also recommended others to join me, including my brother. In total 5 of my friends have now joined and play currently. Due to my ban, my brother who lives with me on the same internet connection also has received a permanent ban due to the rule break on my account. I would kindly like to ask that whoever is dealing with this appeal takes my honesty into account and can see how I have accidentally shared a link leading to me breaking a rule. I hold my hands up to say that this did happen and feel so disheartened that I can not continue to play on the server currently. I look forward to hearing back from a member of your team when you get a moment to review my appeal. Thanks.

So, you mean to tell me that you accidentally sent a Discord link to another player for the GTA RP server that you currently own?

Hello Liam,

I understand the way in which I explained may not have been the easiest to understand, so I will re-word my previous message. 

So whilst on the server, I was talking to another player about the Roleplay UK social media submissions (link). I had assumed that I had successfully copied the link from your discord server as I didn't have a forum account myself at the time, so this was the only place I had seen this link. Assuming I had copied this link correctly, I quickly pasted it into the phone message system to the player I was with and pressed enter. It wasn't until the split second I hit the enter button I then realised that I had not copied the link to the social media submission but in fact had a different link which I had copied earlier in the day regarding something outside of the Roleplay UK community. At this point it was too late as the message had sent, and been automatically removed from the phone by the server. At this point I stood in shock as I understood what I had done was against the rules, although it was not intentional. Unfortunately for me, the link I had copied and unforgettably sent was in fact a discord link for a server I've owned and managed for 3 years. To further add to this, unfortunately it was also a FiveM server. I fully understand why I was banned and have no doubt as to why I was banned. However, I do hope that you can understand the issue of not knowing what is copied to your computers "clipboard" combined with the fact I sent the message far too quickly to self moderate what I was doing as I was just eager and excited to continue to try out the mining aspect of your server.

You’ve been a clean player in your time on our server, and i can have some sympathy for making a mistake with a copy paste. For these reasons i will be unbanning you today.

Keep in mind that as youre publicly advertising a different community of wich you own yourself, you will face alot more scrutiny for this type of stuff than the normal player.
