Unban Appeal for Display

In-game Name: Kenji Whitlock

Server: GTA RP

Steam ID: 76561199192771312

Ban ID: 11770

Reason given for your ban: (C2.3) Combat logging

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned due to me combat logging while being active in the RPUK server, I was messing around with my friends and got downed, I was frustrated so I f8 quit, and tried coming back right after but was met with the ban. I then realised how stupid of decision it was from me, and how idiotic it was.

Why should we unban you ?: I've been part of this community for a good amount of time, with good background, furthermore, I combat logged in a situation that was friends messing about, and people in the community know I would never combat log in an actual situation that would give me a competitive advantage, as stated above once again when I decided to f8 quit, I immediately realised how dumb the decision was and tried coming back but it was too late. After I talked with a staff member, he explained how even if it was done as a joke, it shouldn't have happened either way, and that all the rules must be followed even if your not deemed to be in a proper situation and that you must be in character when ever you are playing RPUK. After that conversation I learnt the error I did and would not let it happen again.

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

@Display

You are aware of the rules yet broke them, I am going to keep this simple as you have had some time away to think.

Tell me why combat logging is considered a rule break and why it is important to have it as a rule. (in detail please)

As it seems you have not taken into consideration other peoples RP, such as the medics who may have been responding to you downed but you decided to disconnect.

Combat logging is considered a rule break because it gives an unfair advantage to the person combat logging. Combat logging happens when a player disconnects from server during an RP scenario in order to avoid roleplaying. This breaks RPUK's rules. Combat logging disrupts the game's balance, as it gives the logger an unfair advantage over other players who are trying to follow by the rules and enjoy their roleplay. It is important to have combat logging as a rule in order to maintain fairness and balance in the game. With rules in place, players are more likely to abide by the intended server rules and outcomes, creating a more enjoyable RP experience for all. Additionally, it prevents players from having an unfair advantage, which can lead to a more competitive environment.

Once again, I do apologise for this.

Regards, Kenji.

@DisplayThank you for your response, its clear that you understand the rule and that you understand the impact that it can have on players and the server. So hopefully I don't see you here again. I will give you this chance to prove yourself and welcome you back to the server.

Just a point to remember that if this is to happen again it will be more difficult to return, as you have now proven you are aware of the rules.
