In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Unfortunately being new to the server and it being late at night I randomly got killed and shoved into the ocean, I was tired and didn't want to wait for the re spawn time because I didn't think I could get healed in the ocean. So i left. After reading my ban reason I realised my mistake.
Why should we unban you ?: Going forward I will ensure that this will not happen again through reading the rules again and ensuring that no rule will be broken. I will explain what happened, basically if I remember I was driving to a gas station to fill up my taxi and there was so much going on like people running eachother over and there was many blue clothed characters. Essentially I think I got muddled up because there was a lot of running over of people and I think the blue gang thought I was one of them, but I was filling up my taxi. I got shot in the head and put in a car and shoved in the ocean. I kept on explaining that I was a taxi driver and I had no involvement but they didn’t listen. I was put in the ocean and had to wait. I felt it was out of RP that I got randomly killed and put into the ocean so I left because I had work in the morning. But of course leaving whilst dead regardless is counted as exploiting and I didn’t take that into account. I do apologise for leaving it was just annoying to get killed in that way. The reason why I went to go get fuel was because I didn't have a lot of money and returning a taxi to get around 4k is a lot of money for a player who has just started. I was driving from west of the city to get back to the taxi station to return my taxi, hence why I stated I wanted to come off, I wasn't going to make it with the amount of fuel due to how close I was cutting it, I only really wanted to put £200 worth as it was approx a mile. I guess I refilled at the wrong taxi station. Frustrated by the fact I randomly got killed before I wanted to head off just caused me to leave the game as previously stated. Next time I will wait for the 15 minutes to finish, re spawn myself and instantly log. Regardless if im dead I will wait for the timer to finish. The reason why I didn't do this in the first place was because I was tired and inexperienced, now this has happened I have learned not to do this again. Previously someone asked why I had two characters on the same account and that was due to ruining my first account, I eventually ran my account to the point where I had nothing. I was in that gang and felt that I did nothing anyway. After remembering I had to go through an initiation again where basically I had to RP as a new character because if I were to instantly it would lead to the breakage of rule G3.5. I essentially RPed and got to know them again then join the gang after, I should've left the gang with the other account but it's my fault for leaving that character in that gang and I take full ownership. Also I apologise for being a smartass previously, I will and from now on answer any questions needed promptly and properly. I appreciate your support in this matter and thank you.
I will give an explanation of what rules I think I broke and an explanation as to why I believe they are there:
(G3.5) Character Separation - Using information you have gained through the play of other characters to influence the course of roleplay, either directly or passing this information to a 3rd party to tell your character. Example: Character A is a cop that knows a raid is about to happen on a gang, Character B (same player) is a member of a rival gang. Character B does not know about the raid, Character A is unable to tell someone else to tell Character B about the raid. Character A may not use Character B's vehicles or assets.
This rule is set in place to ensure there is no mix up of roleplay. This in a way can be deemed as exploiting as having one character with two lots of characters knowledge can prove to be very advantageous for the person with two lots of information. This would provide an advantage over the other players that are rping with said person. Even if assets and vehicles arent used the idea that one person has more information than other people is still an advantage. By having this rule in place it removes the possibility of another form of exploiting and ensures proper RP takes place.
(C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).
This rule is also in place for a similar reason to G3.5 except C2.3 is mainly to prevent RP being ruined, by leaving during RP breaks RP and makes the situation worse, what could have been good RP can instantly turn sour when someone leaves and having this rule ensures that RP can be kept flowing in good order. But of course leaving to save gear is exploiting and can give an advantage so by having this rule also prevents players having an advantage over another.
I understand if my appeal is successful that I would like my first character to be deleted and the second one wiped so I can have a proper start and play properly again. But I thank you again for your time in reading this and I hope you feel I have tried. All the best!
