In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was shot and downed by another player and disconnected from the server while down at the hospital check-in area.

Why should we unban you ?: I had a disagreement with a friend of mine (Frankie Green) that ended in me being downed, after being downed he took me to hospital. He left me at the check-in and due to it being late I decided to log off and wait out the hospital timer the next day. No roleplay was interrupted by me doing this, the roleplay I had with Frankie was concluded. It was 03:37 am and I was very tired, I wasn't trying to circumnavigate the rules or attempting to reset any timers, I was just simply too tired to continue playing and didn't want to wait for 15mins extra when I so desperately needed to sleep. I have been told many times that logging off at the check-in was/is acceptable if the roleplay has been concluded. I didn't think I was in breach of any server rules. I am happy to discuss this further on this appeal thread if necessary. I would also like to add that in the future if given the opportunity to continue playing on the server I will wait out all respawn timers and ensure that I do not disconnect from the server when I am incapacitated.

So you claim no roleplay was interrupted, Lets look at it from another point. Lets say there was a medic on duty and they saw you check in for example or even alert the NHS, They would take time to get to yourself to roleplay with you to assist and taking that help away from other players as a result. Believing no one was effected overall doesn't just mean the people around you. 

Whilst yes I understand it was late, The combat logging rule overall is very clear. You've mentioned you didn't believe it would breach any rules, So with this in mind have you read the combat logging rule?

I would agree with you if the hospital was busy and it was at a time when the server was at its peak. However, I think context really does matter. It was very late at night and the hospital was completely empty, I can't recall whether I had a 10 or 15min timer so I can't speak as to whether there were NHS on duty but due to how late it was I very much doubt there were any. I have read and understood the combat logging rule. I think it is unfair to compare this instance to logging out mid firefight, or logging out with the intent to save gear.
 
I was extremely tired and the standard of roleplay I would have given wouldn't have been up to the standards I like to set, hence why I wanted to log off and sleep. I understand that an NHS member *could* have logged on at 03:37am and decided to walk into the ward and had a roleplay scenario with me, I understand that. However, logging off and continuing possible roleplay the next day, when I would be much fresher, seemed more appropriate. It is more likely that an NHS member would have been able to have some roleplay with me the next day as it wouldn't have been the middle of the night.
 
I understand the combat logging rule and why it is in place. I know right from wrong. At the time I didn't believe what I was doing was a breach and believed it was the right thing to do.

Whilst I understand it was early in the morning that this happened there are things that could of happened that you are unaware about due to logging off the server whilst in a downed state. Now within the rule overall we do state logging out when downed does fall under combat logging, So if you had read the rules you would of known this.

I read and understood the combat logging rule. However, at the time I didn't see it as being a serious rule break, whether that was due to tiredness or what I don't know. I can only apologise and tell you that I won't find myself in the same situation again if given another chance.

I've heard that it's acceptable from people generally, I also saw someone saying they did it in a compensation request recently and nothing was said. I genuinely thought it was acceptable and didn't think it would be an issue.

I'll hold you to your word that this won't happen again. This is your only ban since you've been with us so I'm happy to give you another chance, Given that it was just two of you and what happened to you being downed. As you will now know logging out whilst downed isn't allowed and you do risk a ban for doing so, There are times where you need to log off however we have a staff team you can turn to prior to doing so and in turn we are aware of what is happening. 

When you do return indeed you will be downed still so you will need to finish off this roleplay, You mentioned you logged off in the hospital so getting checked in shouldn't be an issue should you want to do this, Decision as a whole is yours. If in future you are unsure if you are allowed to do something or not as per the rules reach out to a staff member who can clarify this for you moving forth and in turn should avoid any issues.
