Why do you think you were banned: I was banned due to the lack of roleplay prior to engaging in a shootout with Ballas.
Why should we unban you: Firstly, I want to acknowledge that, once again, this situation was my fault and a direct result of my actions. It was a lapse in judgment, built-up tension and prior aggression that led me to make the wrong decision in the moment.
I completely understand why the RDM rule exists - to ensure roleplay is prioritised over "fragging," to maintain fairness for all players, and to keep RPUK from being seen as just another fragging server. At the time, I let negative interactions put me in the wrong mindset, which ultimately led to my mistake of shooting at the Ballas member. However, my five-month break from the server has given me the chance to cool down, reflect, and mature. I no longer feel like my emotions control my actions.
Looking back at my time on the server, I’ve realized that the real highlights weren’t the gunfights but the roleplay - the interactions I’ve had, the friendships I’ve built, and the storylines I’ve been a part of. I genuinely miss my time on RPUK. If given another chance, I will make sure to carefully consider my decisions and always prioritize roleplay above all else.
In the report that led to my ban, it was stated that "the parties involved [should] think about their place on the server, whether it is to just shoot or to actually offer a role-play experience of a standard expected for a whitelisted gang." This has been the core of my reflection. I want the opportunity to uphold that standard, to prove my commitment to quality roleplay, and to contribute to a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Lastly, I want to thank the staff for taking the time to review this appeal, and I also want to apologize to those affected by my previous actions. I hope this serves as proof of how my mindset has changed, and I’m open to any further questions or discussions that may help with your decision.
