Unban Appeal for BoofyM

Reason given for your ban: G2.4, C1.7

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned due to not valuing my life at a dodgy doctor whilst there was voice dysnc going on.

Why should we unban you ?: I believe I should be unbanned as this was a lapse in judgment and will not happen again. I genuinely apologise for my actions that resulted in the ban, and I am completely aware of how serious the matter is. I didn't value my life in RP, I destroyed the opportunity for others in the community to RP.

I would like to use this as an opportunity to own up to what I did and acknowledge that this isn't what RPUK is about. When the voice desync happened I took the opportunity to break a rule which should not have been the first thing to come to mind. As a long-standing member, I should and do know better, this doesn't represent my roleplay as a whole as I know I can provide top-quality RP for everyone involved, this lapse in judgment won't occur again, it wasn't a clear-cut opportunity and I should have factored in that I was just brought back to my feet. If this was to happen again I would go with the RP and allow whatever fate to unfold.

As for my previous appeal, I had written an appeal up and I didn't think it was good enough and I tried to beef it up by having AI written text included and was hoping I blended it enough to look written by myself, this was something I take responsibility for and shouldn't have done, all it's done is make the process longer/harder for myself and I regret it. You were asked in your last appeal: "was this appeal written by you - and solely by you - or have you used any outside assistance, human or otherwise?" You responded saying you've not used any outside assistance

Then given another chance to come clean by being asked: "Are you being truthful in this response? " You responded saying you're being completely truthful.

Why? We knew you'd written this with AI hence asking the questions, the answer was clear yet you still decided to lie.
Why lie after being given 2 opportunities to come clean, were you trying to win one over on the staff team? 

 
Good afternoon Danoo, I was not attempting to win one over the staff team. I had written an appeal before but it seemed inadequate and feared it would be declined due to lack of effort. So I decided to beef it up a little which in turn led me down a rabbit hole. I will not do this again and I will not lie to the staff team my sincerest apologies.

All you've done so far after being given an opportunity to tell the truth and lied is damage your own chances of a successful appeal.
Rightfully so, I now have little to no trust in you.

You say the night of your ban was a "Lapse in judgement", why was it? What happened for you to suddenly let your standards drop this low?
Were you upset/frustrated that you weren't going to win the situation?

I completely understand your reasoning for having little to no trust and I also understand trust is not given but earned.  With the possibility of being let back into the community, I will not have another lapse in judgment which will hopefully rebuild the trust. The reason my standards dropped was due to not hearing anything from the people around me, not an excuse but a thought that happened at the time hence the use of the words 'lapse in judgment'. This will not occur again as I do not want to ruin the RP for others.

I understand you were having difficulty hearing other players around you but the whole situation still doesn't make much sense.
You were downed, surrounded by 3 players with guns. When they revived you from the dodgy doctor, you'd still have a 15 minute combat timer on yourself along with the injuries you're currently holding.

You broke the 15 minute combat timer by immediately pulling your gun out in an attempt to what I can only assume is win the situation? 

 
I apologise for my actions and take accountability, I did try to win the situation which was unfair to the parties involved. Me not hearing the individuals due to voice dsync should not have been a justification to act instantaneously and take my gun out resulting in my ban. After reflecting on the situation I am completely at fault.

I appreciate your apologies and that you're taking full accountability for your actions. 
A big concern for me is, you were trying to win a situation rather than actually enjoying the roleplay provided.

This is a roleplay server at the end of the day, not Call of Duty. A win/loss mentality is not what we're looking for here.
Would you say it's a frequent thing that you're frustrated at losing a situation within roleplay? 
 

 
Hello Danoo, I acknowledge what I did was wrong and yes this is a roleplay server therefore it should be at the forefront in every situation I get into. I do not frequently get frustrated in losing a situation within roleplay like I've said previously this was a slip up and will not happen again. While keeping roleplay in mind it shouldn't and I intend to do just this.

I'm willing to give you another chance on the server. I do hope you've managed to learn from your mistakes and are now aware that we're expecting far better roleplay than what was provided by yourself.
Please have a read over the server rules before reconnecting and make sure you're fully up to scratch with them to avoid this moving forward!

Any ban you receive within the next 6 months will be permanent and land you straight back here.
