Reason given for your ban: G3.5 and C1.7

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned for violating the rules of G3.5 and C1.7.
This is in regard to my recent membership on "Benz" with Cutlass and the removal of my other second character "Joshua Bean" from the F6 so soon.

Why should we unban you ?: Despite knowing that I had done a lot of roleplaying to ensure the move made sense, I can see how the timing was not perfect. If I were in a similar scenario again, I would be extra cautious to ensure that my actions would not interfere with Roleplay.

I had "Joshua Bean" who was a former Firearms Officers who kept getting outted by his colleagues infront of Gang members. As shown in recent weeks, it was unavoidable that they would turn against him. At the same time, I was working on my seasoned criminal character "Benz," who had recently left "Ballas." It had been a long time coming for "Benz" to quit Ballas, and it was not an easy decision. A range of factors contributed to the outcome in recent months such as leadership and Roleplay.

My intent to join Cutlass had existed since our earlier interactions due to their style Roleplay which suites my character a lot more.
Several times during the Cutlass "hangabout" period, I was attacked by rival gangs who mistook me for an actual member of Cutlass. This is why the process was sped up unaturally. I should of took a step back and allowed the storyline to progress more organically.

Upon reflection removing and adding each of my charcters to the Cutlass f6 makes no sense OOC and would be a violation of the G3.5 rule. After further education of the Rule I now understand that one characters Roleplay influcened the other.

I'll give you the opportunity to put more detail into this appeal. Re-add another reply with more detail and effort otherwise I am better off denying this and sending you.

 
I appreciate you supplying my Account History, which spans over two years of Roleplay experience. I'd like to think that the mistakes described above, as well as my experience on RPUK, have improved significantly in the standard of Roleplay I'm able to produce throughout my characters. I hope you can appreciate this is the first server I have played on.

During my interactions with Cutlass, I had a strong desire to join their ranks because of their roleplaying style, which resonated strongly with my character "Benz." During my "hangabout" time, though constantly being attacked by rival gangs who mistaken me for a member of Cutlass. For example, despite telling them many times that I wasn't Cutlass, I was kidnapped, robbed, and dumped by 229. Thankfully, I was saved by a medic, which encouraged me to join Cutlass in the roleplay. These unplanned events generated a false sense of urgency, causing me to rush through the process of joining Cutlass, upsetting the story's natural course. In retrospect, I see it would have been wiser to take a step back and let the story unfold naturally rather than forcing revenge by joining so soon.

A lot of internal issues were plaguing Ballas, the leadership and ethos had changed completely since I joined. It no longer felt like a gang but a business that I didn't want to be a part of. I find the Gang Roleplay Cutlass provides a lot more interesting and suited for me. I had already been in talks with Cutlass and helping supply them with weapons which helped develop our friendship further. From an OOC standpoint, it didn't make sense to have two characters in the F6 especially when one was a former Police Officer who kept getting exposed. Although I didn't mix the characters within RP, I can see how this again influenced "Benz" failing to character separate as I was over-eager to pursue the new Roleplay avenues with Cutlass. 

Before joining "Joshua Bean" began getting heat from the Gang who was beginning to question my street credibility. I had old colleagues who recognised me as an officer, whilst recovering in Pillbox. This happened in the presence of other Cutlass members which lead to Kash personally questioning me. Being around the gang and seeing what happened to other disloyal members I took the initiative to flee. I understand how this narrative should have played out longer, and essentially ended before bringing over "Benz" character. The two characters should not have influenced each other at all as they are two separate people. I can see how this falls under common sense as a failed to character separately.

I've been a part of this community for almost 3 years across different characters and been a part of many whitelisted factions, so should have known better. I can only take this as a learning opportunity not only for myself but also to inform others on how to approach a situation like this. I appreciate you taking the time to further educate me as I'm always learning about the intricacies of Roleplay. If I were to be unbanned I would love to continue my journey with Cutlass as these are not just gang members but also friends. I would like further develop my character, and continue to provide quality storylines that bring enjoyment to the community. Being a part of the community is important to me and I'd like to continue to prove that.

 
I am well aware of the 'roleplay' that went into your characters from leaving and joining the same gang between two characters as I had spectated some of the 'scenarios' that went into you being kidnapped along with others. Just because you've created a Roleplay story, to 'cover your ass' doesn't mean that it's not a rule break. It feels almost like ScriptedRP just to get your main into that gang.

Lets look at it this way;

  • Joshua Bean + Others joined Cutlass due to leaving/removed from LSPS + have fought alongside Cutlass for months
  • Same people, have different characters in Ballas
  • Ballas Internal Issues begin
  • Ballas (Benz Shmu, Yacob Barbar, Chino Dex, John Montana, Boofy Shmu etc...) leave on that character
  • Few days later, their Cutlass characters (Joshua Bean, Jake Barbar, Yashwaf Esnibar) are removed
  • Ex-Ballas now join Cutlass on those characters



I am not disputing at all, that certain LSPS officers such as Theodore Valentine and whomever else it was had stated numerous times to Kash that Joshua Bean, Yafoob Snipes ('Yashwaf Esnibar'), Jake Barbar were ex-LSPS Police Officers. Well, to be honest with you 'Jake Barbar' was never in the LSPS, 'Terry Sharpe' was.

Let's look at Boofy Shmu for an example with his Cutlass character 'Yashwaf Esnibar'. As stated by Kash in the ticket with staff, is that you all were made aware that Kash + Cutlass were planning on killing you all due to your previous employment with the LSPS. However, this sadly just isn't true. I know this because, 'Yashwaf Esnibar' was fine with fighting alongside Cutlass on the 18/06/2023 and was even pushing 229 turf on that character. Unfortunately, he was banned for Random Deathmatch by a Staff Member observing the situation. He hasn't logged back on since. According to Kash, is that you all were made aware of the impeding situation and decided to 'run away'.

There are a lot of loop holes and plot holes in your 'perfectly' made roleplay scenario that you, Kash + others said took place which has been investigated by Staff.

You can be honest in this appeal @Benzilinithe others have been punished for this entire shitfest. Help me make sense of this entire situation excluding what has already been said.

I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to reply, I've made an effort to be truthful throughout this appeal. To put it simply, I have two characters, one of them is a skilled criminal and the other is a former police officer. I made the decision to quit playing the ex-cop, remove him out of the gang, and introduce my criminal persona, "Benz".After the ballas internal troubles became apparent, I did wish to bring over my gang character "Benz," but I was unsure of the proper steps to take at the moment. Other than making sure the storyline was appropriate, given the number of characters and storylines present, I can understand why it appeared chaotic and hurried. I can only truly apologise for what I did and acknowledge how seriously I broke the rules. I am aware that the purpose of these rules is to discourage activities like hot-swapping and scripted RP.

 
You decided to stop playing 'Joshua Bean' after or before, Ballas were having internal issues?

 
After the internal problems at Ballas reached a turning point, I made the decision to stop playing "Joshua," although there had been problems much earlier, which, from what I understand, violated "G3.5 C1.7."
