Hello
@OneShot,
Sorry for the late response.
Can you please explain why you think we have this rule in place?
The rule against logging out during RP exists to maintain the integrity and immersion of the roleplay experience for all players. When someone logs out during critical RP situations, such as being in combat, pursued by police, or while detained, it disrupts the narrative flow and can negatively impact the experience for other players involved. This rule ensures that all participants adhere to the storyline and their character's fate, which fosters a more realistic and engaging environment. It also prevents players from exploiting the mechanics to avoid consequences or gain unfair advantages.
Can you tell us your understanding of the rule you have been banned for?
My understanding of the rule (C2.3) is that it prohibits logging out of the game during any active roleplay scenario. This includes situations such as being in a firefight, pursued by police, or under arrest. The purpose is to ensure that roleplay scenarios reach their natural conclusion and are not disrupted by players leaving the game. It is considered an exploit because it allows the player to avoid the consequences of the current situation, such as potential arrest, death, or other in-game penalties. The rule requires players to remain in the game and continue the roleplay until it is resolved or attempt to rejoin and complete the scenario if they accidentally disconnect.
Since my ban, I’ve taken significant steps to understand and adhere to the server rules better. I've spent time actively participating in another roleplay server, focusing on learning and respecting the rules to ensure I contribute positively to the community. I genuinely value the community and the immersive experience your server provides. I realize now that my actions disrupted the roleplay and impacted other players, and I regret not following the proper procedure when I was incapacitated. I have learned from this experience and am committed to following all the server rules strictly if given another chance.
I miss being a part of this community and would appreciate the opportunity to prove that I can be a respectful and positive member. I understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of the roleplay environment and am dedicated to ensuring my actions align with this principle in the future.
Thank you for considering my request.
