In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I made a comment in OOC chat after the announcement of the Queens death and it was extremely stupid of me to even have the thought to send a message saying "we get a pint now".

Why should we unban you ?: I made an honest mistake, in the moment I first thought I could make a joke to maybe lighten up the situation a little as I know a lot of people took deeply to this incident. I know myself personally and I have myself used comedy to help me through matters I may feel hard myself and thought that there may be more people that work the same way as I do. Looking back at it now I understand that it was completely unacceptable and most definately not the place to share such scentances as a lot of people easily can take offence to the matter, for this I am deeply ashamed and I apologize to anyone I may have offended due to my actions. My intent was never to cause any issues or offend any person in this community as I find my stay here rather nice and want to continue being a part of the community. I have not been in any trouble related to rule breaks previously and do not have any intention as going outside the community guidelines either, I hope you can see this as an honest mistake with no intent to cause any harm towards anyone.

Once again I am deeply sorry for anyone I may have offended due to my actions, it was not my intent.

Hello Stuart, I appreciate you taking the time reading through my appeal. The mistake I made in this situation was to think that people would take what I wrote as a joke and nothing serious as it was not made with any intent of offending anyone. I understand that looking back onto it I was in the wrong mindset when I thought people would process my choice of words the same way I did and I realise now that some people may take offence to it, whether the intentions are to hurt or not does not matter in that aspect. I made a mistake in thinking that if the message behind it is not sent out with any ill thought it would be taken with a grain of salt. It's pretty clear for me now that there was a strict no tolerance towards these kind of jokes or any jokes overall when it comes to the situation at hand as the person writing can not dictate or control whether the person reading it will take offence to the statement or not. Unfortunately this thought process was not running through my head at the time and it made me slip up; badly. I am not trying to justify these actions as I now understand that they have no place here and I understand now that sometimes you have to sit back and think not just twice, but maybe three or four times before you take any sort of action as it's not just you as the person making the statement that is in focus, I am ashamed for not doing so from the start as it is not too much to ask from any person to think about how their actions may impact others and not just how you view upon it as the writer.

I am deeply sorry for my actions and anyone that I may have offended with my statement, I did not mean to cause anyone harm.

Look, this is your first and only ban, so I am willing to give you another shot. No please be aware that there are calls for anyone facing such a ban to never be allowed back, but I do understand that people make mistakes. 

Now, we do not expect everyone to be a royalist, I don't honestly care what your opinion of the royal family is, it's none of my business. All I ask if that people keep disrespectful comments to themselves, especially in times of grief like the death of our Monarch. 

Like I said, lets chalk this one up to a lapse in judgement and move on with a lesson learned.
