In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Unfortunately, i was banned due to a violation of C2.3 (Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP) in a scene where i was with an accomplice roleplaying as criminals in search of a victim which we would attempt to rob. After many failed attampts with my body being thrown in the ocean i decided stupidly in frustration to combat log after a robbery gone wrong, a decision i almost suddenly regretted. From what i can remeber this scene happened close to a server restart (a matter of minutes) so i therefore waited for the server to be back up before resuming the RP where i stayed with the person who killed me for around an hour after this situation occured and finished the RP , However i acknowledge that it was too late as the violatiion of the rule had already taken place earlier and let myself down considering the quality of roleplay i have taken part in this server and i would hate for me combat logging to be the end of it.

Why should we unban you ?: I feel that i should be given another chance as this is my first ban in relation to RP on this server and i strongly desire another chance to demonstarate the level of RP i had taken part in once again, i sincerily apologise for my actions leading me here today and look forward to roleplaying on this great server again should i generously be unbanned, Thank you for taking the time to read this.

So your claim is that you combat logged just prior to a server restart? I've had a look at the times you left, First time was at 19:37 then you returned two minutes later and log back off. Now this isn't in your words a "Matter of minutes" since there is around 23 minutes till the server would of restarted, So lets start being honest and since you are a little unsure to why you are even here I'll pop the report below you can have a look over then tell us why you think you we're banned and why we should unban you.




 
I beleive i was banned for combat logging after being killed during a shootout, my initial thoughts was that this happened before a restart, but then having a look at the report and remebering what happened that night i realised this was far away from a restart. Looking back on this situation i have realised i have done this out of pure frustration and anguish and i deeply regret combat logging on this night. I humbly acknoledge i am completley in the wrong here and would love to have a second chance within the city while ensuring i do not end up here again. I think i deserve a second chance since i have been playing on this server for around 6-8 months and have not had any punishments in relation RP in the past and would be grateful for the opportunity to return.

 
Whilst we can agree this is your first punishment, It doesn't look good the first one being a permanent ban now does it? 

So as you know the situation that got you here, Lets move into the why. 

You say it was pure frustration and anguish, Is this something that happens often with yourself in situations more so when they don't go the way you want them to? 

How many other times has this occurred in situations and how can we be sure it won't happen moving forward should we give you the opportunity ?

Thanks for responding, you are correct in saying it certainly isn't good that my first punishment is a permenent ban, as for your question as to 'is this something that happens often'?

This was the first time i have combat logged and in similar situations i have abided to the rules and finished the RP but in the incident in question, i know that this cannot be used as an excuse but it was the timing of the incident and the 'suffering' per say of the nights prior leading me to break the rule, again i can confidently say that apart from this situation i have abided by the rules and moving forward i now know i cannot break the rules as it ruins peoples fun and it is only fair that others have the right to have as much fun as me playing on this server, lastly, i can say with certainty this ban has taught me a lesson.

You mention this ban has taught you a lesson, Explain this for me please. 

In relation to this ban, Can you quote the rule you broke and in your own words explain why you believe we have such a rule in place?

This situation was not much different to others in the past except for me combat logging something i hadnt done in any scenes prior. As for how this taught me a lesson i now know that breaking the rules is not fair for me and others on the server and being banned from a server that i genuinly enjoy playing on will make sure i dont break the rules again.

Lastly, Combat loggin is- Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first). 

i feel this rule in place to ensure peoples RP experience and enjoyment will not be ruined from people leaving during scenes to maintain standard of roleplay

 
Lets say you are back on the server and you find yourself annoyed within a situation or your emotions are getting the better of you, How would you manage this ? 

 
If i were feeling like emotions or anger were going to get the better of me now i would quickly snap out of it and fully comply and follow all rules needed to be followed and contiue the RP at all costs.

 
Whilst frustration can get the better of us we should do our best to not let it cloud our judgement as in this case it did ruin the RP experience for everyone involved including yourself. Now I'm happy to offer you another opportunity back into the community as you one seem to have a better understanding of the rules and you do mention you can provide good roleplay, So I'll take you at your word so you can indeed prove yourself. 

Now since you did combat log and going from this and checking what you had on your person it wouldn't be a stretch to assume you did this to also save the items you had on your person, With that being said to be unbanned we will in turn wipe your inventory as you was in the middle of a robbery when you did decide to combat log. What this means is anything on your person such as items, weapons, cash will be removed (Bank is not effected) just everything in your inventory, Do you agree to this?

The wipe has now been completed on your Brandon character as this was the one used to combat log out of the situation. As mentioned above this is now your opportunity to prove to us that you are indeed here for the roleplay and experiences they will provide moving forward. 

If down the line you get frustrated in a situation just keep in mind that however situations go it's all about the roleplay you will gain either way, This will indeed help mold your experience with the community and thus in turn provide quality roleplay to others in different situations. Don't let us down with this opportunity and we hope not to see you back in this section moving forth.
