Reason given for your ban: I neglected my value of life

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I had 0 value of my life during a situation where I was abducted by a gang and brought to one of there medics to be healed so they could cuff me and continue the rp, instead of putting my hands up i shot a person also i accidently called one of the admins a "lad" whilst she is a woman.

Why should we unban you ?: I am regretful of my actions and vowel to never disrespect the roleplay of any situation like I did ever again. What i done was not in anyway acceptable.

Adding on, i would like to apologies to the admin I misgendered. Where Im from calling a person "lad" is normal and doesn't hold any gender towards it. I can easily see how this would come off as being rude to somebody outside of my perspective. I meant nothing by the comment. the word "lad" its just part of my natural dialect.

My failure to care for the roleplay during the situation that ultimately lead to my permanent ban, had an affect on the whole group, It also prevented them form getting my gun and any other items i had on me at the time. I understand that i shouldn't do this, i also understand what effect this would have on the group that was victim here. I Have been playing alot of other games recently and haven't found a community as welcoming as rpuk. I would really love a second chance at being involved in that community again.

To Conclude, I acknowledged what i done wrong, and Im asking for a second chance to apart of this community again. What i can remember of RPUK is that i made a lot of friends and had alot of good memories, I had just started to understand the complex ecosystem that is rpuk. I had even begun to learn some of the history of the server from other characters.

I can’t recall the entire conversation, it happened roughly 5 - 6 months ago. However I do remember we initially had a misunderstanding around the word “lad” which later escalated . I do apologise for anything else I said and I feel emphatic for the staff member who dealt with the situation. I now know staff are there to help encourage a role play rich environment and to keep everything in order. I feel as if my outlook has changed in the past 5-6 months and I know staff are there for the better of everybody and I appreciate every staff member for that.

Adding on, I understand 5-6 months doesn’t seem like a long time to be able to change. However, I would like to point out that in the last 5 months I have had alot of changes in my life and I feel as if I have became a better person from them. I would love for a second chance at being apart of the leading community in fivem.

I am disappointed in my former self for being  rude and disrespectful. I used to bottle up all my emotions and just take it out on the everyone. I apologise to the staff members that had to deal with me.

I’m inclined to believe i have something to other to the rpuk community. I would love to be able to develop a new character and enjoy the community.

So what's made you change so much as you say? Why should we grant you another chance after you chose to treat staff members like that?

Whats made me change? - During the 5-6 months since my ban, I have made a lot of small changes to my life that have made me a better person. They might not seem like too much but they have greatly increased my overall happiness as a person. My mental health has taken a huge rise and overall I just feel better.

One example of change I have made is completely changing my friend group. Me and my old mates had a very toxic relationship as a group which wasn’t exactly working out. I have met a new group in uni which I better fit into. My new group of friends are much more supportive, dont pear pressure and our less judgmental, toxic, jealous than the old group. As to the effect this has on myself, I find myself less defensive, less argumentative and Im having a better time in life overall. I’m doing better things, I’m not getting smashed as much or getting pressured to try new drugs. I found myself being more active, going places with mates other than clubs or pubs. 
 

Another example of change I have made is getting back into my old sport boxing. This may seem like a way to inflict violence onto another. However, Im doing better physically and mentally because of it, Im less aggressive as result of boxing. It’s a great way to release pressure/stress instead of letting it all bottle up. 
 

In all honesty I have improved my relationships with almost all of my family members, especially my siblings.

Writing this has made me feel quite good about myself, it’s a good way to put in words the change thats occurred. So thank you.

Why should we grant you another chance? - I would like to explore a new character in rpuk, which hopefully as a result could benefit the environment even in the slightest. During my time as part of the community I had made a lot of friends and had begun to make a story for my character, I made a few connections which I used to middle man coke from gangs to newer characters who didn’t have the connections yet. I had also begun to trade a couple cars and had attempted to make profit from buying and selling cars. 
 

I also vowel to never disrespect a staff member again, as I understand there here for the benefit of the entire community. Staff our here to keep the rules from being broken and to deal with disputes in fair manner. You guys clearly do a great job at this as this community has been going strong for years now, the population of the server also reinforces that.

I can only give you my word that I wouldn’t treat a member of staff like i did again. 
 
As to the character I would like to make, I would most likely not go down the drug path again. However try again to buy and sell cars for profit also to create a large portfolio of real estate locations to try and sell to other characters. I will not use any of my prior knowledge of house locations I gained during my time as Alex Miller. Although my knowledge is most likely outdated I understand using it would break the rules of i assume meta gaming.

Good afternoon 

To answer your question. No I wouldn’t repeat my past actions. I feel as though I have became less of an aggressive person in the past 5-6 months, due to the reason I listed prior. 

That comment i made was wrong. It was disrespectful and uncalled for. It came from a place of frustration mainly. I’m deeply regretful for my actions. There wasn’t a need for the comment at all, it was me being self-destructive, and I’m sorry it was written. 
 

I have gained a respect for staff members I previously didn’t have. This respect came from a place of realisation, from playing another game called squad (which is a large map, tactical team based war simulator). I’m ashamed to say I previously didn’t have much respect for game staff members. That was up until I learnt that there really just there to help and for the benefit of everyone. 
 

To Conclude, no matter the outcome of my ban appeal I will not mistreat any staff members. Due to my realisation of the good that the staff team do.

One thing that did interest me about your ban, you seemed to be able to read out player's steam names without even meeting them before, same with character names, how did you figure those out? And remember, honesty goes a long way.

I download a graphics mod for fivem . If I can remember correctly it was called ENB or something like that. It messed with all the graphic settings of the game. I also downloaded  a few other mods such as gun sounds, another to do with fov which made shooting look more realistic (gave the gun a better muzzle flash), another which gave the game better motion blur, There was also a mod which made the blood more realistic. 
 

The ENB mod gave the game a nice filter, better lighting, and just overall improved the look of gta. I used these mainly in another server which allowed graphics mods. However when I would go into rpuk the game would go into a really strange black/greyscale look. I can’t really describe what it looked like. I might have a screenshot on my pc. 
 

Leading on, I had to turn off this ENB whenever I joined RPUK. I done this by simply pressing the bind to turn off ENB which if I can remember was right shift or something else on the right hand side. 
 

Sometime during the scenario I pressed the bind which would Turn on and off the ENB. To give some context I have an Apex Mini Pro keyboard, which has keys activate at 0.1mm so the slightest touch can activate. So I find myself accidentally pressing keys quit often. When I pressed the button which would toggle on and off ENB My screen flashed black and went into the strange greyscale look. When the screen flashed you would see the players name appear over there head for a split second, like in normal gta when your looking at somebody and there name appears above there head. So I was able to see one of the players names, why I called him by his name I really don’t know. 
 

Im pretty certain ENB was short for enbseries or something along that line. 
The download process of this was ENB was relatively simple, you download the zip, then put it into the gta folder and another half into the fivem folder. I am fairly certain ENB was nothing malicious, it done nothing to give an unfair advantage. My use for ENB was simply to make the game look better and improve the quality of rp on my side of things. I dont have any of these things downloaded anymore as I deleted gta as well as fivem, to increase storage. 

 

Im happy to not download these graphics mods again.

I saw one players rockstar name which I just assume was his steam name. I don’t recall saying the staffs name or seeing the staffs name, however I did know which staff member I was dealing with me. 
I will admit when I was talking to the staff member I wasn’t polite and didn’t take it as serious as I should off. Im regretful for this as I really was just digging myself a grave, my actions were immature and were not up-to par with RPUK’s standards. 

When I pressed the ENB toggle key, my screen would flash into a black/grayscale filter. Immediately after pressing the toggle key the ui would go a little crazy, I would see the name of somebody I was looking at. I assume this was a glitch as the ENB didn’t work as it should have on RPUK. 
 

During this whole situation I showcased an extreme lack of judgment, ignorance, conscientious stupidity and abuse towards staff. I acknowledge my wrong doings, and can only hope my unmannerly way of conducting myself towards staff didn’t cause any unpleasant feelings. I hope to be able to rectify my misconduct and atone for my misdeeds by being truly apologetic towards any staff member/community member I affected during the situation.

How did I know which staff member? 

I was in a call with my mate I met on the server, we were about to go play rust or cod i can’t remember which one exactly. I joined this call like a second before the admins teleported me. 
 

When I joined the call I said something along the lines of “give me a minute I need to hop off fivem”, then I got teleported. My immediate reaction was to say “shit, I have been tp’d”, my mate replied “what did you do” as to which I responded “ hold up, let me speak to the gods quick” . 
 

He heard what I was saying to the gods as my mic wasn’t  muted. He must of figured out I was speaking to a female staff member as I was trying to explain to the female staff member why I called her a “lad”. 

I’m almost certain at this point in time my mate was banned from the server. It was to do with a totally different situation. Where he got upset at a staff member, and had a massive argument with them. Also I am almost certain the same staff members that he got banned by I was speaking to. 
 

when he figured out this staff member I was speaking to was a female, he mentioned something along the lines of “is that {staffs name}” . As to why I would then call the staff member by that name im not sure. Looking back on it, I find it really childish that I would then call the staff member that name. 

Im not sure if this could be counted as meta gaming, I didnt ask for the information but i received it nonetheless. I also don’t know if playing different games with somebody banned from rpuk is breaking a rule. However the mate I was speaking to was a really nice guy, he’s 8 years into service with the army. So I carried on playing different games with him. 
 

I’m inclined to believe my mates in game name was John Bailer.

Got to give it to you, was kinda enjoying this story, but just there you made a mistake, that last bit is way too easy for us to disprove, not like we belived the last ones either. Think about your approach and try again, denied, 6 month cooldown
