Ban Reason: C1.2 religious discrimination (extended for being a ass in Groups)
Why do you think you were banned: I had made a joke which wasn't appropriate within the server and then inappropriate comments made on Discord, extended due to further rudeness towards another player
Why should we unban you: I would like to continue from my last appeal. I understand why my original ban was issued and why it was later extended but first I want to publicly apologise to anyone i had upset or offended within the groups chat for my behaviour and actions I know that my words were out of line and I take full responsibility for them
At the time of the incident I had only recently just started on a new medication for my bipolar which was still settling in and affecting my mood and judgment I wasn’t fully aware of how it was influencing me at the time and I should have taken more care in how I interacted with others On top of that I was really stressed out with a lot of things in real life and the situations that were happening in the city There were important moments I was missing out on and positions within our club that I wanted but couldn’t try and gain due to being banned I had also been drinking and was on a call with mates who influenced my behaviour towards the specific individual but at the end of the day it was me who made those comments and I should have handled myself better I wasn’t considering how my words would come across or the impact they could have on others and I can see now that I should have been more mindful of that
When my ban was extended it made me take a step back and actually think about the way I had been acting I realise now that instead of handling things maturely I let frustration and the wrong influences get to me and I ended up making the situation worse for myself Since then I have taken a step back and focused on myself I have started my own business which has kept me busy and also given me a new perspective on how I handle situations I have also been spending more time on real life and I got my motorbike licence which has been something I have really enjoyed getting into Its given me a new way to focus my energy and keep myself productive while also improving my mental state
I fully understand why my ban was issued and why it was extended at the time I wasn’t handling things the right way and I accept full responsibility for that I know words alone won’t prove I have changed but I have actively been showing that I have I returned and have been actively part of another larger whitelisted city and I have had no issues even in confrontational situations This has given me a chance to prove that I have improved my behavior and can handle myself properly in a serious RP setting without letting frustration or emotions get the better of me
If I am allowed back I would like to take the opportunity to create two new characters to further contribute to roleplay in the city The first would be another NHS character as I really enjoyed that type of RP before and always found it to be unique and engaging The second would be a character focused on legal news and documentaries something I have been planning and working on for a while I feel like both would allow me to offer something fresh to the RP environment while keeping me involved in a positive way
If I am allowed back I won’t make the same mistakes again I will make sure my interactions with others remain respectful even in difficult situations and I won’t let emotions or frustration cause me to act out I have already been applying this mindset elsewhere and I know I can do the same here I understand that it’s my responsibility to follow the rules and contribute to the community in a positive way and I am fully prepared to do that
I appreciate the time taken to review this. The server and its community have been a big part of my life and have helped me through the years, and I have truly missed being a part of it especially after being within the community for over 10 years. It has provided me with some of my best RP experiences and I value what it represents. If given another chance I will make sure that my actions reflect the standards and expectations of this community. I am ready to prove that I can be a positive, contributing member moving forward
