unable to connect

hi.

everytime i try to join the server is says connecting failed.. my brother who is on the same network and in the same house as me can connect fine, i tried other life server and they work fine. is there anyway to fix this??

as have i, im not sure he receives PM's though because on the bottom of his messages it says private messaging is disabled ???
