In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I originally thought that this was a mistake, as the ban took place almost a week after the incident and I really didn't think much of it at the time due to the situation, I know its about VDM now but I had my own reason for it as stated below.

Why should we unban you ?
During the video the guy is flashing me and I didn't see that so from my point of view all I noticed was someone pulling in front of me, presumably to steal myself and my friends trucks. So he just hops out and open fires on us and so we thought it was RDM. He did not give us sufficent warning but opened fire anyway. The guy in question also shot up my friend who was facing the other away and he could have just knocked him down, besides the fact he was asking what the guy was doing. We thought it was ok to stop a RDMer by VDMing them as the circumstance suited it. The guy first opens fire on me, then guns down my friend, shoots out our trucks then scraps them and we get banned for VDM.

okay fair enough i have done something wrong i thought the ban was for the day i got banned i understand i vdmed not fully understanding what i was braking but i can assure you i will not do it again i could pay a fine up to a mil... as thats all i have if needs be would love just to be back on the server playing with my fellow islanders thanks for youre time..... ps still love the server.

We thought it was ok to stop a RDMer by VDMing them as the circumstance suited it.

Breaking a rule is never okey, Breaking a rule because someone else breaks a rule. is still a rulebreak no matter what. 
Quote me the rule you break and explain in your own words why we have this rule in place?
