In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Looking back and after re-reading the rules, I was banned correctly and swiftly for breaking NLR. How I was banned, after being in a confrontation with the police I was killed by Sgt Stavik, after the gunfight had moved on to another gang my friend pulled up next to me and whilst downed, put me into his hatchback, in the proximity of the police, who then initiated on his vehicle and shot at it. After getting away my friend then revived me with a defib, and i re-entered the gunfight and shot and killed police. Justifying my ban.

Why should we unban you ?
In my eyes at the time I believed I was ok to re-enter the combat situation due to a confusion with another rule (11.4) 'This rule is exempt for civilians using defibrillators.' upon reflection I was indeed wrong, but it was not knowingly. Just for clarification had I been revived by a member of the NHS or the police I would not have done then same, my actions came from the confusion with the other rule, which has now been firmly corrected. As for why I believe I should be unbanned, after a quick chat with Stavik after, I found out I had ~500hrs on the server, in this time this is my first rule break and I have never had a player report put against my name, due to this you could imagine my surprise at receiving my ban. Maybe my attitude was that of thinking I had been on the server for that long, with no black mark to my name that my knowledge of the rules was sufficient, evidently not. I would like to think that if I was unbanned I would take much care to ensure an event like this occurring again. I do enjoy this server and playing on it with my friends, hence why I am applying for an unban as opposed to just moving to a different server and would hate for my story to end this way.

While you are downed you may not divulge tactical information to anyone. The exception to this is information spoken in direct chat in game. Please be mindful that you are heavily injured and should act accordingly.

This rule is needed due to providing a sense of medical roleplay on the server. i.e. if I had just been shot there would be no way I would just be able to get up and be combat ready, so the rule acts like a cooling off period of that gunfight and any immediate revenge that one could feel about someone who just downed them as it isn't a very roleplay driven motive.

I'll also touch briefly on the other part of the rule which is there to help prevent metagaming (which is also a ban-able offence) that could provide an unfair advantage in a combat situation.

With the amount of playtime you have on our server you should have been aware of this rule. The rule 11.4 states nothing about overruling rule 5.4, it says that civilians can use the defibs "in combat", but that still does not let you actively enter it if you were to be revive it. Please explain how you confused these two rules, as they are in two completely different section and does not mention each other.

If you were to be unbanned, what would you do should this situation occur again?

I think that my confusion arose solely due to the situation that I found my self in, meaning that the two rules were both in effect at the time and in the back of my head I thought that what I was doing was ok because 'This rule is exempt for civilians using defibrillators.'  obviously I know now they are two separate rules and it was ok for me to be revived by a civilian with a defibrillator but then not ok for me to continue in combat.

If this situation were to arise again I would respect the 15 minute time on the rule by not actively seeking out a gunfight, what i mean by this is carrying out the initiation first. In fact during this time I would also respect the roleplay of the ones who had cause me to be in need of a revive for that time as they have assumed that I had been heavily wounded and wound not expect to see me running around.
