Poor RP (7.1.3) ["Be my friend or die"] and questionable roleplay subjects (3.6) [Roleplay of rape, "i would like your anal virginity, please"].

Why should we unban you ?

I think you need to look at me and Vincent as two separate cases, because looking at the video, I really don't think my roleplay was bad. I had a long conversation with him and gave him lots of time to comply to my demands. I didn't take the "be my friend or die" sentence as intiation, it was more of a joke that really didn't mean anything and was not the reason for Keith's eventual death.
I also think that Lt. Keith was report-baiting us, because when I started talking about snapchat and instagram as a joke and in RP, he INSTANTLY STARTED MESSAGING AN ADMIN. What harm could me asking about his social media in ROLEPLAY possibly do to him?
Also, regarding the rape incident, following rule (3.6) he told me to stop and I stopped, so what is the problem there? The anal virginity comment was gross and offensive, I admit, but nothing against the rules. It wasn't even a threat, I asked nicely.
Regarding rule (7.1.3), I only initiated once during the entire video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK0NU3P4DAg&amp [at 3:17], and even then I have him plenty of time to put his hands up, I did not just say "hands up or die", and when he lowered his arms and started walking I told him to put them back up and gave him plenty of time to do so, even implying that I didnt wan't to kill him. He then proceeded to walk away, and because Vincent decided to shoot at him, I did so too. His friend also tried to escape, for which he paid the price.

In conclusion, I think my RP was sufficient, and there were no rules broken in the process, at least by ME, so just because someone got mad at us for being dicks in ROLEPLAY, doesn't warrant a ban. Rape, murder, selling drugs, terrorism, etc. are all crimes and a part of reality that you can not ignore, and who is to say which is worse than the other? I think I deserve a second chance because I have put in countless hours into this server and would never break rules or RP poorly on purpose.
I have had so many great interactions with people and absolutely adore the meticulous weeding out of toxic idiots, strict rules and staff that keep this roleplaying community so tightly knit and disciplined.
I don't think there is another option for me regarding public roleplaying servers in Arma and I would hate to see it end like this. Thank you for understanding.

I agree, all of the above things are decently dark topics, there are all somewhat in different spectrum's and cannot all be taken in one hand and grouped together. They are all different routes of which people IRL chose to take, however as this is a game we attempt to take the lighter hearted part of this and make of it what we can.

Absolutely, and I elaborated on the topic of me roleplaying rape and how I do not condone it by any means in the last thread.
I stooped to a new low with my roleplay in this incident; my words and actions were vapid and childish.
It has been almost half a year since my ban, and I believe that I have matured as a person since then, and that I am ready to roleplay with empathy and respect towards my fellow players.

(3.6) Roleplaying of questionable subjects like real life terrorism or questionable subjects like rape will not be tolerated if requested by someone involved to stop.

I think roleplaying such subjects usually result in toxic and generally poor roleplay.
It all depends on the sense of humour of the people roleplaying and if they or their close ones have been affected by these issues, but mostly this kind of roleplay is inappropriate and doesn't add much to the experience. I also think it's fair that you can avoid a ban if you stop roleplaying these subjects when asked to.

Going forward, if you were to return, do you feel that you'll be able to keep to these rules and not relapse into roleplaying these questionable subjects?  Can we be sure as staff that we won't have a similar issue within a few weeks or months?

I have always been one to learn from my mistakes, and during the 4 months I've been banned there have been a lot of changes in my life that have matured me.
I assure you that you will not have to worry about any issues regarding questionable roleplay, as that rule has been engraved into my brain from disputing this ban over such a long time.
The incident at hand was definitely an exception, because I have always tried to keep my roleplay up to standard and prioritize quality RP over personal gain, for I believe that's where the most memorable moments in this game come from.
