In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned for killing someone in a police car, supposedly to attempt to steal it. I have only been on the server 1 day and I am new to Altis Life. I've played several games with mods/modes similair to this so I understand the RDM rule. What happened from my side was that I was with another player, and we bumped into like 5-6 camo guys that were telling us they were going to Kavala to kill all the police and take over. Now being new, I thought this was something gangs are allowed to do in game. While having this discussion over direct chat, a police car drove up and down the street a couple of times. He pulled up, and knowing what we had all been speaking about over direct voice chat (those guys raiding Kavala) I thought he was going to arrest/kill us as we were probably over heard. As he got out, his player model looked kind of like he had a gun in his hands, I just shot instantly until he was dead. If the video was longer, you would see me and the other player panic and run back to our car and speed off. We did not steal or touch the police car and we were also shot at by the camo guys on our way out. I believe that the ban was justified with the evidence that was provided by the person I killed, it happened due to my lack of experience in the server.

Why should we unban you ?
I do believe if I had spent a bit more time on the server without this happening, I would have soon understood how to handle that situation if it was to happen again. This would involve me not shooting anyone without proper justification in line with server/community rules. I have read and understood the rules specific to this server.

To answer your first question in honesty is I did not read your rules word for word. I skim read them, as like I put in my appeal I have played various RP mods/modes and believed rules like RDM were pretty standard across all, which is correct for any good servers I have been on.

Due to my own misinterpretation of the situation, I believed I was going to be arrested/shot for talking to the 5/6 guys in camo gear about them going to raid Kavala. My inexperience on the server and how little I knew about the social and economic systems that operate on the server ie. Gangs/Business/Mafias/NHS/Police/Rebels lead directly to me shooting that other guy. Disruption and rule breaking is not what I intended, I came to the server to see what the mod was like and to enjoy it.

The reason for rules is to allow all other server patrons to enjoy their experience, ultimately leading to everyone having a good time without rampant hooliganism and such.

Your appeal seems to be based on the fact you were going after police. The guy who got out the car was clearly not a police officer. He was clearly unarmed. Even assuming you had misunderstood the rules based on this other gang telling you they were going to kill cops, you straight up RDM'd an unarmed civilian.

I wasn’t saying I was going after anyone, it’s just what the group of guys were saying and then I saw a police car turn up. I had no idea he wasn’t a cop until earlier today when I re-watched the video of the situation. To me he wasn’t clearly unarmed either, you can see on the video his player model looks like he was holding something as he left the vehicle (I assume this is just some sort of glitch) and I just shot him. Again like I’ve explained in my appeal, if I’d have been a bit more experienced on the server I’d have instantly known he was not a cop due to his uniform. I didn’t think anyone but cops would be able to get in the drivers seat of a police vehicle anyway. 

If I wanted to join a server to cause trouble I could join pretty much any server from any game and do that. I’m not a troll, trust me, I have better things to do with my free time than to ruin other people’s games when I enjoy them myself. I just made the wrong decision based on what very limited information I had of the situation which is totally on myself and I am not trying to deny that fact whatsoever.

My appeal is based on the fact that I made a bad decision due to lack of experience in the server. It wasn’t an intentional breaking of the rules.

I have read every single rule and I understand  all of them, if I ever need any clarification, I will seek out a member of staff (if it is not in the Q&A section). Also, I always have ShdowPlay running, so if ever a situation arises after this, I will be sure to clip it as evidence.

We understand that new players like to jump in to the action without reading the rules, but that doesn't make it acceptable. 

As you've found out to your cost, this is a community based on strict rules. Disregarding them has consequences, and once banned, that ban stays on your record permanently. When deciding on whether someone deserves another chance, we look to see what previous bans or warnings they may have and we take this heavily into consideration. In other words, if you find yourself back here putting in an unban appeal in the future you'll find it much harder to get unbanned.
