In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
This incident occurred when me and a friend were leaving Kavala when we saw a gang of players blocking the main road on the border of the greenzone. Thinking it looked shady, we decided to try and sneak towards the left around them as it was obvious they was waiting for players to leave Kavala to rob them, or an excuse to get into a gunfight. We witnessed them hold up a new spawn player leaving Kavala, out of the greenzone at this point. Focused on roleplay, me and my friend saw this as a great opportunity to step in and help the new player, a vigilante if you will. We confronted the players blocking the road, which resulted in them opening fire on us and the death of my friend.

I decided to retreat back to Kavala, which wasn't far at all from our location, for safety. They pursued me, following me towards the greenzone. I had recently acquired a rebel license, and so was carrying an expensive load. Adrenaline kicked in as I was still in heavy RP mode and I was frightened to lose my stuff. As we was approaching the greenzone, they continued to fire upon me, and I thought also the unarmed players in Kavala. Me trying to be the hero, which ultimately was the biggest mistake I made, returned fire and killed one of my attackers. Heated up in the moment, I neglected to realize I had returned to the GZ in Kavala. I was then kicked and banned for RDM in a GZ.

Why should we unban you ?
At the time of my ban, I had been playing the server for a while with my friend so had a lot of experience. I took part in many RP scenarios and even gunfights which always obeyed the rules, neglecting to break any of them. I loved the time I spent on the Roleplay.co.uk servers and the great community I was a part of.

Never, were my intentions to break any rule or 'grief' or 'RDM' other players. I always respected my fellow community and staff, and will continue to do so, regardless of my ban.

Without making excuses or using a scapegoat, the reason for my ban was simply an ill-driven mistake, in which I was heated up in the moment. For a moment, I had forgotten where I was, and was focused on my situation and staying alive, always in RP.

Everyone makes mistakes, especially on such structured servers, but it is hard to emphasize how the mistake I made was not out of 'spite' or 'revenge' towards the players attacking me - it was simply a stupid mistake.

I understand completely the concept of Random Deathmatch - opening fire on another player without first engaging in a roleplaying scenario. Although I technically broke this rule for being in a greenzone, my intentions were 100% true to RP, and I didn't kill another player for the sake of it.

I also understand the purpose of greenzones - they are areas in which combat between players (excluding the police and bounty hunters) is not allowed, to provide a safe area for RP in a friendly environment.

Over re-reading the rules, I have learnt that entering a greenzone during combat is not allowed - I take full responsibility of doing this, and the fact I broke this rule was out of ignorance, not selfishness. I haven't broken rules in this server or any server before - it was my first and last mistake.

I have read over the rules multiple times as a result of the whole situation, in the hope that if I get unbanned, I can continue to contribute to this thriving community, and in no way break any rules. This situation has since provided me with a valuable lesson to always put the rules before my own fun, as they are in place to protect the community as a whole, meaning I will never make this mistake again.

I do believe in second chances, but not third chances, so I really hope I can be given a second chance to return to my favorite ARMA server. Regardless of the result of this appeal, I would like to take it as an opportunity to thank the staff who make this server possible to play for hours of fun.

you have be banned for 3+ months what have you been up 2?
I posted an unban appeal the day after the incident, however it appears it either didn't post because I didn't have an account. I've since been busy with exams and work, but have a bit of free time now as I've cut down my schedule.

Thank you for your reply. I did put effort into my appeal because I understand what I have done wrong, and have worked to fix it. I agree to follow all rules, and as a player, I will be playing a lot more cautiously to ensure this never happens again.
