2.8 | Breaking roleplay in Voice

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Together with my mates I was following two HEMTT Boxes in a helicopter, we went in to Agios and we had the chance to pull in front of the HEMTT Boxes there. We initiated and then they drove inside our helicopter, which downed me and my buddies. I tried to talk with the drivers of the HEMTT and asked them to come to TeamSpeak to liase. He told me that he was banned in TeamSpeak, so he could not come. At that moment I said: "Well let's talk about it here then". I said that purposely driving into vehicles is not what you should be doing.

I had a talk with Stavik about why I was banned and he told me that I broke RP by trying to resolve it right there. I said that I think that when you get in a real collision, you are also mad at the person about why he would make the decision to purposely drive in to you, and I would be telling him what he did wrong.

Why should we unban you ?
I am in the wrong, I broke roleplay and should not have done that. The reason why I did this was because they were banned from TeamSpeak so I couldn't liase with them. I then tried to have a conversation within roleplay with them about it, but that failed from my side. I am going to quote the rule:

"(2.8) Threats to report / disputes / Breaking RP in Voice. There are so many people on the server with all different points of view and disputes and disagreements are all part of the game, however please do not discuss them in-game also do not break RP in voice. For example if someone has RDM’ed you discussing this on the server or saying “I am going to report you” is not allowed. Please use the forums or teamspeak to report or discuss only (Punishment is a ban) Exception: You may contact someone using the text system if they are not on teamspeak or on the forums. Please only attempt to make this contact in effort to resolve the issue, not to antagonise the other player/users/members."

I should have contacted him through the text messages and should have carried on with being a downed person that is wounded.

I think I should be unbanned because I know that I am in the wrong and that I have learned from this mistake, next time I will try to send a message to the person or, after I have put effort in trying to contact the person, take it to the forums. I was being reckless.

I put many time in RPUK and love the community, although I did wrong to the community while undergoing this mistake.

Also I want to apologize to Stavik for me being negative and questioning towards you in our conversation in TeamSpeak, I was a bit overwhelmed.

When is it okay to break roleplay via voice chat in-game?

Never, although when an admin appears in a tron suit in front of me that is taking me somewhere to talk about a situation that just happened, I think that is the only time when you can break roleplay via voice chat in-game.

My past does not really help me out in this dispute, and I totally get why. I understand and agree that I have made multiple mistakes, and I regret these mistakes. I should have known better. The attitude and behavior I have shown was really wrong and I am glad that this was not tolerated.

I am not going to lie, I was not happy that I got banned and at first I did not understand it. Now I am glad that this happened because it reflected to me what I did wrong and that I was being reckless. It would be great to have another chance, so I hope that you will consider to give me another chance.

The time off the server showed me my short comings, and made me review the rules and ensured that I have a more in depth understanding of them. I guarantee that I will know better next time and that you won't see me breaking rules again in the future. Especially not the simple rules, such as staying in roleplay at all times.

Going forward, how can we be sure that you won't end up breaking any other rules at all?    if you were to be unbanned then this would be your 3rd try so it's unlikely that you'd get another.

I totally get it and I agree on that with you, as I said, I should have read the rules more often and know them better. I will endeaver to treat all situations with a much higher regard for roleplay and the rules, and next to that a more mature attitude in-game. I hope you can trust me and give me another chance to proof myself. 

Coming back at the NHS part you are talking about, is it an idea to put me on a probationary period  for the NHS? In this way you can be sure that I am being monitored, so you can trust that I am keeping my word.

There will be no need for NHS probation for this unban, however we will be keeping an eye on you to make sure no more rules are broken.

This unban is on good faith that you will go and read the rules in full and keep yourself up to date with them, as another rule break will lead you to receiving a perm ban.
