In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Against better judgement I stole a repair truck from someone RPing as ARAC whilst also in the greenzone, he later ran infront of the truck causing me to run him over. Whilst I do not believe the VDM itself was any fault of mine, I did not take appropiate action & I had already knowingly broken rules before this incident. I also used bad RP throughout the whole incident.

Why should we unban you ?
After watching the footage uploaded along with my ban request, I realise how much of an idiot I seemed & how this was inconviencing other players around me. Since this ban I've had an in-depth re-look at the server rules and can guarantee I will not act in this manner again. I would also note that I was once a serious player on this server back before it was known as RolePlay.co.uk (When it was simply just AltisLife.co.uk)

I've been looking to get back into the RP community & having tried various other servers none can really come close to my past experiences with this one.

Green Zone - “Safe areas where players are able to convene without hostile interruption." This is basically an area within the Altis map where players are able to navigate without fear of malicious intent from other players. This is in place to ensure that there is a safe place for people to RP, buy, sell, and various other activities without the risk of being robbed or killed, especially good for new players who may still be getting familiar with the RP environment.

Specific Green Zone rule (6.1.4) "You must not lockpick or steal a vehicle from the green zone." As it says in the name it is against rules to steal a vehicle from another player within the greenzone. This comes under the overall purpose of the green zone which is supposed to leave players free from risk of malicious intent.

VDM (Vehicle Death Match) "Using any vehicle as a weapon" So this means you can't use a car, truck, heli etc to run over/ram & kill a player, nor can you use it to ram into another vehicle to cause an explosion & kill players involved in the collision. This is in place as it would be an extremely unfair act in combat, as well as a general annoyance to players minding their own business navigating Altis.

In the case of my ban breaking these rules together hindered gameplay & RP for the reporting ARAC player involved.

 
Well I've just quoted the rules I've broken as well as described them in my own words & why they're in place. I think that demonstrates an understanding. Not sure exactly what else you're asking for, so can you clarify?

 
What about the other rules that we have in place? The question stated "all" the rules.

This is your chance to demonstrate to us that we can trust you to follow the rules and that you have a good working knowledge of our rules. If you get unbanned then banned again you will find it very difficult to get unbanned again.

 
Yes I know the question stated "all the rules". The question also stated "how can we know" which is why I asked you to clarify.

How do you suppose I demonstrate I have a working knowledge of all the rules over a forum post? The only way I can think of (apart from sitting typing out every rule you have which I'm sure you'll agree is quite absurd) is to be overseen whilst playing, so there is physical proof of me adhering to the rules whilst in Altis. You and I both know that isn't going to happen, as admins are far too busy to oversee a single player for extended periods of time, so other than that the only thing I can really give you is assurance. I've already stated my remorse for what happened in my banning & I've already explained how I broke various rules, and why those rules are in place.

If you can think of another way to demonstrate, perhaps asking about a scenario & how I'd react, or something else, then I'm all ears.

Just to clarify I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to get you to expand because I found you're questioning to be too vague.

 
The question was open ended on purpose, so that you may think about how you can show us that you are familiar with the rules and possibly be inventive, as is required during roleplay. It was also carefully worded to observe if you read carefully, because some of our rules require careful reading. 

The emphasis was on you thinking about it. If we asked "can we trust you" then the inevitable answer would be yes; we have heard that before and it appears to have no correlation on re-offenders.

You mention asking about a scenario, and that is something we can do, so give us a detailed roleplay scenario of how you would rob someone's truck which you suspect to be full of something valuable.

 
There's numerous ways that could go, totally depends on the situation. But this could be an example;

Lets say I'm driving towards a drug processor, I see someone leaving the drug processor coming towards me. I would start by stopping my vehicle on the road, drawing my weapon and ordering the driver to get out of the vehicle, stating that if he didn't comply I would blow out his tyres. 

If he complied and exited the vehicle I'd then order him to put his hands up and step away from his truck, once he done this I could say something along the lines of "Sorry mate, today's not you're lucky day - this is a robbery. I just want whats in the truck so if you do as I say you can walk away from this alive."

He might respond with "C'mon man I'm just trying to make some money" and I'd reply "We all need to make some money my friend, and today I need some badly"

At this point I'd order him to put his weapon & backpack (In my experience a lot of people stash weapons in their pack) then restrain him (When I used to play I'd normally always have a few sets of zipties on me) & state that I'm removing his radio communications, just incase he's on teamspeak with a group of people who could come help him.

I'd them demand the keys to his truck, giving him warnings about execution if he didn't comply. A good bargaining point would be "Look mate, you can either give me the keys and live or you'd not be so lucky & I'll lockpick the truck anyway, lets be smart about this." 

At this point I'd give him 3 chances to comply, if he complied then I'd take the truck and let him live, telling him he made the wise choice as I leave with some new found wealth. If he didn't then I'd stick to my initial threat. Either way once this is done I'd make a quick point of selling the goods and leaving his truck somewhere hidden (Always hated folk that chop shop stolen vehicles, so at least he'd get his truck back after server restart)

Lets say he doesn't comply and tries to drive away after I make my initial demand to get out the vehicle - this would be the point I open fire at his tyres. Once the truck's tyres are blown out I'd approach the vehicle (not too closely though, and maintaining cover) and make further demands for him to get out of the vehicle. He could perhaps get out with a weapon in hand, I then request he drop the weapon & his backpack onto the ground, stating if he failed to comply he would be shot. I try to avoid killing wherever possible, so usually I only fire on people if fired upon first, but in the case he doesn't fire and tries to run or hide, I'd give him 3 chances to comply before opening fire. I'm not one to RDM so I'd never open fire without giving someone a decent amount of time to consider their chances.

If you can think of alternative play outs of this scenario feel free to ask & I'm happy to describe what I'd do in that scenario.

 
This is the quality of roleplay we expect in all circumstances. Should you end up back here you will find it much harder to get unbanned.
