In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was helping out someone new to the island, and I gave them the option to join my gang. After they said yes, I gave them the Roit Squad teamspeak that I personally own. I didn't think it was against the rules because you're allowed to apply for your own teamspeak for a gang, so I didn't see the problem with using my own teamspeak. I kinda don't see the point in letting people apply for your teamspeak, but not letting them have their own, but after reading the rules again I do realize that this is against the rules. The reason I did it is because I have a different ruleset in my personal teamspeak, which may be deemed unacceptable in the Altislife.co.uk server.

Why should we unban you ?
I genuinely didn't know that giving someone the ip to my teamspeak is against the rules, so I did it. Now that I know that it's against the rules, it won't happen again. I just figured the advertising rule went for other Arma servers, but I do realize that it counts for teamspeak as well. I'm sorry for accidentally advertising, and the rule I broke is here:

(10) Advertising - Advertising any of the following services* on our servers/website/teamspeak or social media groups without permission is bannable without appeal;

Yeah, I did know that. However, a few people in my gang believe that letting people possibly know how many people are playing could influence roleplay, which is why we don't use it. I also enjoy my privacy, but if it's an issue, we can just start going on the public teamspeak. I wouldn't hesitate to use it to come on and resolve problems, but it's just a matter of privacy that we use a private one.

Gangs are given private/locked channels for this reason, and our gang rules clearly state: 

3. You must be on ts.AltisLife.co.uk at all times if you are in a rebel group or gang so its easy for other people to contact you if there is an issue, also if you're recruiting or have your own rebel/gang thread you must only use our teamspeak, advising people to join another is considered advertising.

If you are not using our Teamspeak then we will remove your room and if you have a gang base that will also be removed, it's a small ask in a community that has over 110,000 unique steam profiles who have played/play here.

4. Gaming community's/Gaming groups are not allowed here nor do we allow promotion of them, There are to be no external teamspeaks/forums however you may use our gang/rebel forum to promote your gang to other members or post updates

Once you understand that, I will action a unban.
