Shooting Robbie in the streets of Kavala during a tense moment whilst our truck was being robbed.

Why should we unban you ?
I believe I should be unbanned, as given the situation it is easy to see how mistakes can be made.

Firstly, a man came out- holding us at gun point in one of the side streets of Kavala. He said he wanted the truck, or he was going to shoot. My friend, Billy, got out of the truck, as requested and began talking to the man to buy us some time. My friend Alex and I proceeded to climb out the back of the truck and shout for the robber to put his hands up. He didn't comply and I made the shot, this time onto a closely observing Robbie whom in the moment I mistook for the robber.

Given we were being robbed at gunpoint in a green zone, the situation was already not complicit with the rules of the server. Thus, I believe it is reasonable that a degree of understanding being given for any hasty actions on our part.

With that being said, I don't believe there is much else I can say about my actions. I fired on an unarmed party, who wasn't involved in the robbery, without even allowing him sufficient time to explain the situation- or comply. Had said innocent party not been an admin who banned me shortly afterwards I would have attempted to make amends through satisfactory compensation. Despite seeming like we were being robbed by a group of them, that still doesn't allow for the murder of innocent parties that had not been initiated with. The whole situation was also not roleplayed to a high standard by anybody involved, as is almost always the case of a robbery.

Honestly, I don't believe I can excuse my actions- so I'm not sure that I can truly dispute the ban. The whole situation was rather messy, and I made a mistake which I was banned for. Attempting to explain why I did it seems to be trying to justify it far more than make a case for myself.

So, I'll end with this:
I'm sorry for what I have done, I am only human.
I have greatly enjoyed my time on your server.
I have greatly enjoyed many RP experiences on the server, my favourite of which was caroling in Kavala this past December in the lead up to the holiday season.

He shot Robbie when he had no gun and was not involved in the situation. Robbie could have been in the line of fire but for certain he was the one that killed Robbie also you took not really long to shoot before initiating and when you shot you immediately killed Robbie who was indeed standing behind the Robbers

I apologise if I am mistaken- I thought my ban was due to a two part offence.

1. Not giving enough time for the threatened party to comply.

2. Shooting Robbie who was not involved in this robbery at all.

Both of which of course are RDM.

I never intended to outright kill an innocent unarmed party, not least in a green zone- however that is what happened.

I ask for some understanding that in a tense situation where you are under the threat of being shot and robbed you may make some hasty decisions, however the murder of an innocent party who just happened to be near the incident should never be an outcome. Indeed, I believe I speak for all parties that a far better resolution would have been trying to talk a way out of this, something which makes for incredibly enjoyable roleplay - especially with the police department of the server- and should it work out is probably the most satisfactory feeling on the server. Being robbed in a green zone, it seemed doubtful that any resolution with the perpetrators without death on our part.

It doesn't justify my actions at all- I only ask for a degree of understanding that my misgiving was not because I am a bad person with complete disregard for the rules.

For what it's worth too, I would consider the incident among my least proud role-playing moments across any medium, not just Altis Life.

So I thought I had a video of this incident, sadly I didn't, we were following a guy who was robbing people, he came to the truck and started to rob the driver. Two civilians were watching one was robbie. As the robbery was taking place two people jumped out of the back of the truck and told the robber to get on the floor, a second later opening fire and killing robbie. 

The time taken between initiating and shooting is less than a couple of seconds. And then you missed your target killing Robbie who was stood behind around 5-10 meters.

 
Madmatt150's description of the event was indeed correct. No time was given between the demand and execution- and the roleplay wasn't deserving of the term roleplay. Finally, Robbie was killed in the resulting wrongful gunfight.

During my ban I have read over the rules several times, and you have my word that I shall follow them. This is a role play server, and of course role play comes before guns, gear, or anything else.
