Hello, this incident happened a long time ago (2016). We just started playing Altis Life Roleplaying and didnt really read the rules through. Me and my friend tried to rob a guy in green zone, he didnt comply so I killed him. (This is my recollection of something that happened 2 years ago)

Why should we unban you ?
I have played Altis life on other servers since this incident, I have read the rules and have a full understanding of how to behave myself in Altis Life roleplay now. I have friends playing on this server, telling me its the best Altis Life server, and I want to join up with my friends, and I have no intention of doing some ban-able offence again, I want to live the altis life dream!

I wrote this exact appeal the 5th of February, and I got an answer this Friday. Unfortunately I was out of town this weekend so I had no chance to answer and my appeal timed out.

Aiden asked me "Can you explain the rules regarding the greenzone?"

I'll make an direct answer to this in this appeal. In greenzone I must; not kill anyone, not rob anyone, keep my weapons holstered, not steal any cars, park my vehicle inside while I'm selling illegal items, not exploit the greenzone to get out of conflict. These written rules means that the greenzone is a safezone where players should feel safe, you should be able to go about your business inside a greenzone without being worried someone will prey on you. I violated this players trust in the greenzone and tried to rob him inside it, and subsequently killed him. In my future endeavours I'll have to take these illegal activities outside the greenzone, where other players can expect to be robbed and possibly killed.

If you were to get unbanned, what could you bring to the community?  What are your plans going forward, your intentions?

 
To be honest, with me on the server you would have a criminal amoungst you. I will sell drugs, rob people etc etc... but hey, there's no good without evil! Only difference this time is that I'll stick to the community rules, and bring some high quality roleplay to my criminal activities!

 
Could you maybe give me an example of how you'd ensure that your criminal actions will be kept to a high quality?   Understandably, as soon as people try to rob others the quality starts to slip as neither side wants to give in, what could you do differently to ensure this won't happen?

 
Well I guess I'll have to pretend, for example, I was robbing someone IRL. Robbers dont really want to kill anyone IRL, they only want the money. Killing someone = brings down a mayhem of police resources on your ass. And also I dont really view this as a "death match" kind of game, I'm not here to kill people, I'm here because of the roleplay, and I will play my part to the best of my ability to do so. If i want to kill people I'll just play PUBG or CS:GO.

 
Due to the time that passed between you getting banned and now appealing it, many of our rules have been revised over time.  Can you confirm that you've read them all and understood all of them?

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) is considered RDM. - Essentially this means that killing someone is always the last resort, as I said before this is not a "death match" kind of game, the roleplay is the core of this community. You should always try and play a role (for example the robber). And the last resort in a robbery is killing the victim if he tries to defend himself or doesnt comply to your threats.

(2.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions including while sling loading, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban. Three vehicles are excluded from this, MRAPS (Ifrits, Hunters and Striders) can ram other MRAPS in order to disable them, yet not to kill the passengers. This is allowed as these vehicles are the only vehicles ingame that can withstand being rammed. Please note that you need to initiate roleplay before attempting to ram an MRAP. (Please note - MRAPS don't need to be initiated on in the redzone) This is to prevent random ramming on site. (Three minutes of chasing also constitutes initiation of MRAP and MRAP ramming). - This means that you cant exploit the power of your vehicle, It's a roleplay server and IRL (most) people dont run people over with their car like a mad man. And it kind of destorys the "feeling" if you keep getting hit by a car, thus VDM is not allowed because it will make roleplaying situations more interesting.

(5.3) When you respawn: Your character cannot return within 1000m of the location of death or be involved in the same combat situation until the 15 minute NLR timer has expired. - This one i new to me. But I clearly understand the concept. You should not be able to die in combat, and respawn and rush right back in combat. Neither should you be allowed to pick your gear up again after dying. It's not realistic roleplay and it also destorys the concept of the roleplay and the combat it brings. If theres a 3v3 fight, one group kills one in the other group then they shouldn't be worried the same guy they just killed comes back, picks up his weapon, and starts shooting again. 

This also contradict this "New life"-rule:

[SIZE=medium]Your character does not remember any previous roleplay situations. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Your character does not remember where any of its vehicles outside the garage are [/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Your character does not remember any previous enemies (your killer/robber etc) [/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Your character cannot return within 1000m of the location of death or be involved in the same combat situation until the 15 minute NLR timer has expired. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Your character does remember their friends & gang members.[/SIZE]

I'll just quote myself earlier in this appeal, I think I explained the greenzone rules quite well and I dont really know how to explain in more detail, please tell me if I missunderstod the rules regarding the greenzone.  "In greenzone I must; not kill anyone, not rob anyone, keep my weapons holstered, not steal any cars, park my vehicle inside while I'm selling illegal items, not exploit the greenzone to get out of conflict. Make sure you stick to what you've said here, keep with the High-quality RP and don't lapse into the "easy way".

We don't want to have to write another unban appeal now, do we?
