The date of your ban.

Member of the team that banned you.
Daanish

Reason given for your ban.
Stealing in GZ

The Server you initially were banned on.
Server 1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
To be completely honest, I'm not sure. It was at least a couple of months ago, and I hadn't even realized I was banned until I tried to join today. I don't remember stealing in the GZ, or getting banned for it, so I honestly have no idea.

Why should we unban you ?
The staff member phrased it as "Stealing in the GZ" and the only two ways I can think that that is even possible is stealing a car, or taking something off the ground that belongs to someone. I don't remember doing either of those things. Please, if you have proof that I did either of those things then I'd like to see it, and I will accept my punishment because that's fair enough.

Even so, however, I do believe that a permanent ban for stealing a car or an item off the ground in the GZ is a little excessive. I understand that you're a very strict roleplay community, and I respect that, but a few weeks' ban ought to teach someone a lesson, don't you think?

I say that because like me when I first joined the server, I wasn't aware of some of the rules, the name of the website and so on. Some people may not know the function of the Greenzone, they may not know all the rules and I personally think a permanent ban for those people is a bit unfair. Give them a warning, a link to the website or a temporary ban.

However, as I have said, I don't believe that I did break the rules, so if you have any proof then please bring it to light.

Also it doesn't state in the rules what counts as stealing. In the UK, stealing something is taking it with the intention to keep it, which means there's a charge for borrowing something without permission. (a lower form of punishment, as they cannot prove you were actually intending to keep it.) Is that how it works here? Or does just taking something count as stealing?

Thanks,
Dan (or SeryaN)

P.S. I'd like to mention that I'm not completely sure which server I was banned on.  I spent more time on server 1, which is why I put it in the appeal.

Alright, fair enough. I had a look at the report and I understand, you have a fair reason to ban me. I don't recall the incident, but I would still ask you to unban me because like you said, it was £2 and I think that a perma ban for stealing £2 in a greenzone might be a bit excessive. I understand that it's the principle that counts, and that if you had more money I could've stolen that, but if you'd had any money on you worth anything then I would've given it back. I know that there's no way to prove this, but like I said, it's only stealing if you can prove that the person had any intention of keeping it. Like I said, I don't remember the incident, but it is entirely possible that my internet died or my game crashed or something of the sort. So I would ask you to reconsider, even though, technically I did break a rule.
