In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned for shooting a medic during a combat situation. My friends were being detained by the police and I killed one officer and moved position. I looked at the situation from my new position and since I did not have night vision, I could not tell the difference between the police and the medic who was reviving the previously downed officer, therefore I shot the medic (being under the impression that he was police.)

Why should we unban you ?
Because it was an honest mistake as I did not know he was a medic. I would not have shot him had I known. This was also because I did not expect a medic to be there since it was a combat situation.

Medics don't have vests and guns

How is it so hard to tell the difference?

The person (who i later found out was a medic) was in an animation so I couldn't see whether he had a gun. Also, it was so dark and the medic was surrounded by cops, so i just assumed that he was one of them. All i saw was the silhouettes. I could  have shot any one of them, it was just unlucky I chose the one who happened to be a medic.

Accidents can happen, did you attempt to contact the medic involved via TS?

Unfourtunately I didn't, as I was kicked from the game before the situation was even over and went off straight away. If it helps, I am open to coming and talking to the medic some time soon about the incident.
