I believe that I was banned due to the fact that it appears that myself and the other member of our gang were involved with one another and the fact that I "fired without initiating".

Why should we unban you ?
I believe it is fairly obvious that two trucks and people at the salt processor have been involved with one another (it is a long process) as you can see we stand next to one another while engaging with you... When you decided to put your guns up at my associate gang member, you had initiated us, and deciding rather than to suffer the humiliation of a robbery, we decided to fight. When one points a gun at your friends face, would you not react similarly to stop threat? I understand why it could be seen to be poor roleplay, but we were nonetheless under threat and reacted accordingly, for this we apologize.

Do you deem the highlighted text as HIGH QUALITY ROLEPLAY? Do you see anything wrong with it being your only interaction with another player before knocking them out/killing them?

I still do not fully understand the question as that isn't what I had said. You can clearly see my squad member engaging the hostiles in conversation for a substantial amount of time. This is at the point when I had gotten the all clear to engage on the radio, from members in over watch located on the hill. When this event happened, I was new to the server and had played mainly exile to this point. Obviously the rules are very different and I understand now why I had gotten banned, under section (7.1.3) of the rules listed on this website. The way I acted was not in the spirit of 'high-quality roleplay' that is to be expected on this server, and as I played, after this initial incident until the moment I got banned, I strived to improve my roleplaying abilities as I am highly fond of this community. In my defense, my previous encounters with discharging firearms was of other players, mainly in Kavala, who were getting robbed, much like in this situation, as soon as a gun appeared and threats were made, shots were instantaneously fired back without too much of a back and forth and other players didn't at all seem phased by this. 

As far as I know this matter has already been resolved on teamspeak and I've been told to tag @Stuart, as he I believe he was involved in this incident.

From what i remember on this situation, Both parties come up to teamspeak and talked regarding the incident. From the way the conversation was going it seemed as if both parties resolved this issue whilst in the room. Not to sure why the report was posted afterwards. Whilst in the room after they talked and went down the lines of talking about compensation for the items lost due to the proof on the report. I asked what items were lost and give the correct price for that time. I cannot be 100% sure if the compensation was fully paid to the guys involved that maybe a question for them. @Robbie

Correct, the squad had payed a sum of nearly £300k in damages. I believe this thread was created after the matter was resolved and I think I got banned mainly due to not seeing the initial report and replying. I hope I can move past this issue and rejoin this community that I am passionate about.
