In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I believe I was banned for VDM, as I hit some people while driving through Kavala. I was also banned for Combat Logging, this was during a police confrontation in which I crashed, but I do understand how that seemed like Combat Logging.
Why should we unban you ?
I would first like to express how deeply sorry I am for the incident and that I have since read over the server rules and come to a better understanding of them, and that if unbanned I would do everything possible to assure no further rules will ever be broken.
I would first like to address the VDM situation, The situation occurred in Kavala down the main road in front of the various Shops, when driving down the certain road I tend to experience high amounts of lag, and the high population in the area didn't help with my lag issues. On the way along that road, I unintentionally hit a small group of people who were standing partially in the road I was making my way down. Instead of getting out and apologizing I carried on driving about the place. I believe I hit another group unintentionally due to the same issues, and I believe a third which was partially intentional, as I continued to lag, instead of making a valiant effort to swerve the vehicle I let it hit the people as I knew it wouldn't kill them. This will never occur again in the future, if it was to happen unintentionally I would immediately remove myself from the car and apologize as well as explain my situation OOC to the people, I would also have a friend drive whenever possible. I understand that this rule is in place in order to prevent the chaos that would occur if people were allowed to VDM due to the array of fast-moving cars and trucks at the player's disposal which would become a primary weapon if this rule was not in place. Furthermore, without this rule in place, a lot of the roleplay would be non-existent as instead of initiating a conflict with a weapon drawn, players would hit others with their vehicles which in turn removes the initiation element from the roleplay scenario, leading to far less development in the stories created in the scenarios that occur. Overall the rule is essential for the quality of roleplay to remain high and make sure that all Citizens on the island are having the best roleplay experience possible.
I would now like to talk about the combat logging that took place, I again sincerely apologize for the situation and the disturbance caused by this. The occurrence began when i slowed my vehicle and tapped the back of a Police vehicle when coming to a stop in the main square of Kavala, the bump into the police vehicle caused an explosion of the two vehicles causing myself to be in a bleeding state, one of the two police officers in the van, came over and revived me due to the fact no NHS members were currently online. I was carrying an Illegal weapon on my back when I was blown up, the police officer approaches me and while picking me up states that he understands that it was a genuine mistake and said that I could run away and we would continue the roleplay elsewhere, so I did as such. I immediately walked over to the shop to obtain a repair tool in order to repair my vehicle. While in the shop the second officer approaches and questions me about my weapon, which I didn't mind losing as I had more than enough funds in order to repurchase everything that I would need, mid-conversation with the police officer my game crashed due to the lag that I had been experiencing within Kavala. I would have logged back into the server to inform the officer of my situation and would have let him deal with the weapon I was carrying in whatever manner he felt was appropriate but it was late at the time of this situation and I didn't want to have to launch the game over again and then load back into the server. In the future, if I was to be unbanned I would make sure to always come back and inform the officer, or other person/people involved in the situation and attempt to resolve the problem in the appropriate manner. I understand that the combat logging rule is in place in order to prevent any advantage being gained, due to gear being kept in a situation it would have been confiscated from them, it is also in place to stop players avoiding any punishment actions such as an arrest or a robbery. This, just like the VDM rule is in place in order to keep the roleplay up to a high standard and make sure no experiences are ruined by players disappearing from the roleplay scenario.
I would like to once again state how sorry I am for the problems caused and promise to do everything in the future in order to abide by the rules and not break a single one in my further stay as part of the community.
Thank you for considering my appeal, I respect any decision made as I trust it will be the right one.
