In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
There had been a previous gunfight between me and another guy. When i died i went to the blackmarket to buy new guns. At the blackmarket i met the guy that i had been in a gunfight in and i completly forgot about the metagaming rule (4.2) and called out his name. This was completly unintentionally and i left the area to avoid futher misstakes and to avoid ruining his roleplay experience.

Why should we unban you ?
First of all i would like to say sorry. It was completly my fault and i fully understand and accept your punishment. I am ready to get back into the roleplay with a much higher quality roleplay than ive had in the past. I took the time to read the rules again to clear up any missunderstandings. Second i think you should unaban me because this is the first time ive got any sort of punishment for an act that ive done. Everyone makes misstakes, and since this didn't have a "direct" impact on anyones ingame economy or time i think it would be fair to give me another chance even though i cant use this as an excuse. In the heat of the past gunfight i was upset and my tounge slipped and i forgot about the rule.

I hope you can see some of the reasoning behind what i did. If i get another chance i will use this ban as my strength and use it to become a much better RPUK member.

What has made you change your mind that you wanna perform higher quality roleplay?
Does not seem that you did it previously by breaking a basic rule of roleplay.

I havet gotten any bans on any servers before, and this ban really made me think twice about breaking rules  again. Plus i really like your server, the NON tolerance of rulebreaking and the high quality  Roleplay. This is byfar the best server on Arma ive played on and i would not let another ban ruin it.

So what basicly happend was that my friend GOT kidnapped, when saul saw the two guys approaching him, he told me what clothes they were wearing, what their car looked like and their current position. I took that information and started a search through kavala. I couldn’t find the car or them in kavala so I went to the main road and started driving the south main road out of kavala. When I was driving on the main road I spotted a car that looked like the car my friend had explained by the drug dealer, so I went up there and found my friend dead on the ground and two people aiming at him with guns.

To be honest I can’t really explain that. It was poor quality rp from my side. At the time I was not aware that I wasn’t allowed to shoot anyone just because they pulled a gun on me while I robbed them. I know I can’t use this as an excuse. I’ve read through the rules 3 times after I received the ban and looking back at some of the situations I was involved in I realise how poor my rp was. However the only thing I can really use as my defence is that I’ve realised what I’ve done wrong, and I’ve learned from my mistakes. I can promise you one thing, and that is if I get unbanned you will not have any trouble with me, I will do my best 110% to make my rp the best.

2 questions.

1. How did you manage to find your friend at the drug dealer given his GPS and communication devices had been removed.

2. Taking into consideration the post Matt has linked you, and the the situation you were involved in with the other report, if you could reverse time, how would you deal with that situation.

As I said I just drove around in kavala looking for a car that looked like the one my friend had discribed. I didn’t head there straight away, I was just driving around looking after the car.

2.

if I could reverse in time I would make up a story and say something like my wife cheated on me and took The house and our money and that I had to rob him in order to afford food and stuff like that. I think that makes an interesting role play for both of us. And when he pulls a gun I would act scared and tell him that he had to put it down or he would get shot. When I was sure he wasn’t gone put it down and I’ve given him enough time. If the situation became dangerous to me after he didn’t put his gun Down I would take nessesary actions.

Here are the rules im Aware of that I broke or u think I broke.

(7.1.3) Killing someone must be carried out with high quality roleplay, “put your hands up or I will shoot” etc is considered low quality RP and may lead to a ban for RDM/Fail RP. Executing another player must also be carried out with high quality roleplay, the only exception to this rule is if both you and the victim are engaged in a gunfight together.

(4.2) Name Tags - You are not allowed to identify players in game via name tags or keychains. Police, NHS and UNMC ranks (only ranks) are fine as they wear “clothing with the rank on” unless they are undercover. (Not in their uniform) (punishment is kick/ban)

(4.4) if u are restrained and communications have been removed you must not be active on any other forms of communications other than direct chat. (Punishment is ban)

So this, and the fact you would have been banned in a separate player report, and the fact there's a note on you for landing a heli in the greenzone (another rule break) demonstrates to me that you either A) Have a really hard time understanding the rules, or B) You simply don't care.  Which is it, and why should we consider unbanning you?  How can we be sure that you'll take our rules seriously and not find yourself in this situation again?

In the other report i explained my side of the story and I think it sounds reasonable. As I’ve said before i kind of rushed throught the rules the first time I read them cause I wanted to get out roleplaying. After the ban I understood that I had to take roleplaying alot more serious which I did. After the ban I’ve read throught the rules a bunch of times and I’ve read a lot of things about the rules on the forums. I am really sorry for my past behaviour and I can promise u it won’t reappear. And I think if I wouldn’t have taken the rules seriously after the ban, why would I bother writing all of this. If I get unbanned I will do my best to make high quality role play and not break the rules again.
