In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned for shooting Saba in defence of Mr. Wong without allowing time for sufficient initiation -RDM.
Why should we unban you ?
Because to be truthful, I am not a bad or malicious member of the community. I have been playing here for over 2.5 years and I know the rules inside out. I dont go out of my way to kill people or steal from them, the majority of the time it is quite the opposite. We like to escort people who are doing the tasks we used to do to make money and any time we kidnap someone they always get a fair chance to RP out of it. I cant remember the last time we killed someone who was in our custody, especially when they give us a good joke to prove they aren't a Mongolian spy. Many people will attest to this. If i ever think i have made a mistake i will always try to resolve it.
At the end of the day, bans are issued to protect the community; i dont believe banning me protected the community from anything, because i am not a threat to it, and you should surely know that by now after 2 and a half years of having me around.
The actual irony in the situation and what irritated me the most is that we normally give SO MUCH initiation and RP before firing any shots that a lot of the time we end up at the disadvantage and getting killed, and this doesn't normally bother us because we dont play for firefights... If we ever think we have made a mistake we will be on team speak ASAP to resolve it like adults.
What does bother me is that on this one occasion a very immature member of the community [shown by his ban] chose to create a situation where he knew everything would have to evolve super quickly. He chose this approach (which broke server rules) to safeguard himself from a retaliation. Unfortunately, him giving a countdown to my friend who was at the time in an animation caused him to subsequently be shot by me in an uncharacteristically fast engagement for us. I maintain that if i had not shot at that moment, Mr Wong would have died, and he feels that way also. I agree with Robbie in that maybe Mr. Wong "should have informed saba that he had friends in the area," or tried to de-escalate, but at the end of the day, the result would have been the same - either Mr Wong would have been executed as Saba was threatening to do or Saba would have been shot by me in defence of Wong, just with a different timescale.
This was never a clear cut case, my argument the whole time was that Saba was counting down, in no other situation would we ever shoot so fast. I stand by this. Dont point a gun at my friends head and count down from three and expect to have a little chat over a cup of tea. Saba never provided sufficient evidence for his side of the story by excluding his Audio so you cant really disregard my claim which would have made it a whole different story. In that moment i believed i was defending Wong from being RDM'd. Saba was then shown to be a childish member of the community so to take his word over mine, on what is a revenge report, with no attempt to resolve it is quite disappointing to me.
Why does my post seem a bit angry - probably because i feel i have been let down by the staff team, when all i try to be on this server (and want to get back to) is a responsible player.
