Hallo, it’s DownK, from ingame.
And this is my ban appeal, let’s start off immediately with summing up the situation that was going on in game earlier this afternoon.
I and my friend Daan planned to perform a robbery on the local bank, in Athira, this not being fully prepared, once we were there we encountered two other males, and set up a trap if the cops came, sadly in the long run the duo that wanted to assist didn’t do anything, this got us into a encounter with the police where I tried to shove the bank robbery onto a random.
This led to the police officer suddenly saying I was charged, and telling me that he wanted to talk with me at the local police station, where he would take me, Daan didn’t agree and took his gun in the back of the officer and shot him several times, and then I shot him to be eventually beanbagged, the cop was injured and backup was fastly on scene, I stood up and this is where the part comes that I got banned for, I have started to swear with several f-word’s, I sweared towards the cop his uniform, but this was in my eyes all not serious, it was meant to be a role play act, I was flipping out cause we failed what we sorta had planned. Because of all my swearing the officer dragged me away, and told me bye, and I immediately got banned for the 1.2 rule, Daan tried to ask the officers on scene what their reasoning was, and they said my swearing was inappropriate, and not tolerable, Daan and I understand Roleplay as in, you are not the guy you are in the game, so that’s what I thought. And that’s why I started swearing as it was the act of my character. I was completely cool with it outside the game, being arrested or caught. And I was fully going to work along with the officers if they were to proceed imprisoning me. But I was unfortunately banned for the swearing, which is understandable.
Why should we unban you ?
Why should I be unbanned? I with honesty didn’t think twice by swearing at the cops, I was not completely aware of the regulation, I have been out of this server for a few months to just try and make a return today to Arma III, my intentions were not to harm anyone or insult anyone towards them, as in the one playing the character, no I thought my insults were aimed at their characters ingame, and that was my intention.
I did not want to insult anyone outside the game, and I think we got on the wrong lane of traffic because of that, and I sincerely apologize for my actions and wrong doings this afternoon, and wouldn’t repeat such behaviour again as I now understand wrong-doing.
Matt, I sincerely apologize for my actions ingame, my intentions were not to insult anyone, or be discriminative towards anyone. I tried to make a scene, sadly it did not turn out like that, and I was banned for my actions.
So hereby, my sincere apologies of my wrong doings, and I hope I get given a second chance as this is my first time being banned on this community, and I really do like this roleplay community.
Hopefully you will give me a new chance, I’m sorry again, thanks for reading my ban appeal, and hopefully you understand that my intentions were not to insult anyone.
If I do get given a second chance that would amazing, and I will grab it with both my hands, and show that I won’t repeat the same actions as I have done today.
