In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Me and a few friends were going to leave the RPUK community for good, and thought it would be a good idea to mark our departure with an event in which we would crash vehicles into the green zone within Kavala. The vehicles included a blackfish, huron and neophron. Almost immediatly after this event, I (and my friends) got banned from the RPUK community. Of course that being my intention at the time, drove me to do such a stupid thing inwhich me and my friends reget further down the line. Thinking this was a good idea, shortly turned into something I would regret over a year later!

Why should we unban you ?
Within the 7 months of me getting banned, I started work and was able to purchase a much more powerful computer capable of running ARMA much better than I could before. However, since noticing this, I began to want to play RPUK again. But of course, that fateful event which happened earlier on in the year, I was banned officially from the RPUK servers am unable to join back.

After realising such a mistake, I am deeply regretful for doing such a thing. RPUK helped me develop friendships with people I travelled miles to meet, and I want to go back and make some more friends. I do believe there is such a spot in the community for me as at the end of the day, I want to treat people, how I would want to be treated - not by trying to ruin other peoples experience.

I am aware I broke such a deeply frowned upon rule, and am very regretful for breaking this rule. It was a stupid decision and a decision I will not do again! I want to make a name again in the community and better myself from my past decisions.

I did not feel pressured by the others, regarding what I did. It was a decision a few of us thought you be fun at the time, but turned out to be a stupid decision. I am not just talking on my behalf, but on all of us who were involved in the event. I keep mentioning it, but it really was a stupid decision as it broke us apart from the server which made us.

(2.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions including while sling loading, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban. Three vehicles are excluded from this, MRAPS (Ifrits, Hunters and Striders) can ram other MRAPS in order to disable them, yet not to kill the passengers. This is allowed as these vehicles are the only vehicles ingame that can withstand being rammed. Please note that you need to initiate roleplay before attempting to ram an MRAP. (Please note - MRAPS don't need to be initiated on in the redzone) This is to prevent random ramming on site. (Three minutes of chasing also constitutes initiation of MRAP and MRAP ramming).

VDM exsists because it stops people using vehicles in ARMA, to cause damage to other players on the server. This is because vehicles play a massive part on RPUK and if everyone was going around using vehicles as weapons, the life on the server would be ruined. VDM is here to stop other players from ruining peoples expereinece who actually want to play on the server and have a good time. I am aware that VDM is one of the most crucial and important rules on the server and using vehicles as weapons is just unacceptable and unfair on other players on the community.

Before I decided to VDM in the green zone, I had built friendships with people all over the server, in the police force, medics etc. This event that I took part of, threw all this away and made me look immature and stupid. I want to be able to go back onto the island and show everyone, that I am a fair player and want to offer the best roleplaying experience that I can do! Looking back to my decisions, I only have myself to blame and its been eating at me for a while.

The same individuals were the ones who I want to go back with, as we all feel the same about our decision. We want to join our old friends who are in our gang, who went off to do better things on the server and seeing this, made us want to go back and correct what we did wrong. However, if I was to get unbanned, I will not be playing as a rebel as such, as I would like to play as a medic more often and meet new people.

I am aware I said "Metrifyy 卢克: Psychos go out as Psychos" and at the time, I thought this would be the last thing I'd say on the server and I would never return. However, that is not the case and what I said was out of order and disrespectful to the server and the players. I will not say anything like that again, no matter what.

I arguably broke the 1.7 rule, which I see as a common sense. I did something that was out of order and something immature. I was ruining other people’s roleplaying experience which is something I wouldn’t want to happen to me. It would also use up staff members time to resolve these issues regarding compensations and anything else that happens at the event. As stated before, these decisions were immature and stupid of me and will not be done again!

Over the time in which I last played I had matured a lot more and now, I am extremely greatful that I ever had a chance to play on the server. And I know, it looked bad, and it was, but people change and all I want to do is roleplay with some old friends who started playing again. I can solely promise you that I will not disturb other players and ever perform such a stunt again. All I would like is another chance to show the server, that I am a loyal player and people DO make mistakes.

It was a mistake, I realised a few months after I done it, that it was stupid of me and I didn’t value the server as much as I should. But looking back, I question myself why I did it. 

I don’t know how I can prove to you, and the server, that I will not do such a thing again. 

In your shoes, I can see your point and why you have no reason to trust me, however, I hope I can get the opportunity to show everyone, that I have changed and I will not repeat the same thing again.

It was a mistake, it was something I did out of quick action, I was not doing it to cause damage to the server as we were playing on server 2, which had a reasonably low population. If I wanted to do damage and make it deliberate, I would have done it on server 1 when Kavala square is heavily populated by players. We did not kill anyone other than ourselves when we crashed near Kavala. It was a ‘hey, I’m bored of this server, let’s get banned’ sort of attitude that I had at the time. It’s an attitude I will not have again as I have seen the consequences from it. 

I don’t want to harm other people’s roleplaying experience, I want to be a part of their experience, not to ruin it. What I did was out of order, and it’s something that I wouldn’t want to see on a server. It’s a matter of trust, and I’m happy for you and other players to keep a close eye on me, reporting anything that I do, that is out of line. My aim is to become a better role player, rather than going around wanting to cause damage to everyone.

I currently don't have a very good feeling about this nor believe I would trust you enough to return due to your attitude at the time with both the incident and the messages you sent out, it just rubs me the wrong way still and feel like there is an essence of bullshit here trying to be covered with sweet fragrances and flowers.

So... after roughly 600+ hours altogether you are one of the ones who spearheaded this bloody fiasco. So why after all that time did you never get that little voice in your head otherwise known as common sense to NOT do it, after that much time it appears you just got bored and could not  care less so why on earth would we give you chance when you could easily just decided "oo im bored again and i cba to play anymore so why dont i just go and break more rules and leave" as right now as I've said this so far just does not feel right to me... so I would make sure you try and convince myself and other staff that you really won't be an issue as well, for example bringing up details about that situation that you are aware of that we may not know about... or maybe we do because someone else already told us and we want to see if you'll inform us or try kicking it under the rug and hope we don't already know about it.

I fail to see how my attitude has been out of order. I have been reasonable, giving all my reasons as to why I did it and why I want to come back as a better player. I have not been immature or rude, as I do not feel the need to be. It was something I did and not the server, so why should I treat the server like it is everyone else’s fault? I have said many of times that what I did was wrong and it was something I wish I never did as no one deserves it  

All I want to do is join some old friends on the server and make my experience, as well as others better. Why would I want to go through all of this, a week of confession, just to come back and ruin someone’s experience? I wouldn’t and that would also be a waste of my own time. 

Everyone has that little voice in their head, telling people to do things they shouldn’t. Not just in a game, but everywhere. And when people choose to follow this voice, as I did, people do stupid things. It’s something that flicked my mind and for some stupid reason, I chose to follow it.

And I’m assuming you’re going to say something along the lines of ‘But what if that all happens again?’ Well my simple answer is that it won’t, and I can promise you that. 

I have already explained what happened in depth, and I am not trying to kick anything under the rug, as why would I? I came forward to confess to what I had done and all I ask if for forgiveness and make it up to everyone. I don’t know what else you really want me to say. 

Another thing, why would I ‘bullshit’ you or ‘take the piss’? I understand what you are saying and I can understand why you’re so frustrated about it and as am I. I have spent 20+ minutes on every reply, to try and show you that I have changed and what I did would not happen again!

You are to do 6 hours of NHS patrol, with at least 3 of those hours with 3 different MTOs.

I respect your decision and can understand why you have offered me this, but I have a few issues with that.

1. I have a busy life, consisting around university and work, so I would never be able to play longer than an hour each session.

2. I want to get unbanned to play with some old friends who also want me to aswell.

3. I have no determination to play as a medic as I did not really enjoy being one when I used to play as one.

Another thing is that I think my terms are a bit unfair as I have had friends who were banned for a similar reason, if not the same and none of them had to go through the trouble I had to. They simply said sorry and was able to play again and since, havent done anything wrong, which is exactly what I want to do. Yes I agree you have to be careful and need to keep an eye on me in some way, but I think I deserve a chance to prove myself to everybody!

I hope that you can see where I am coming from, as I feel some people fail to.
