Forum Report

The Server you initially were banned on.
Server 2

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I got banned because I RDM'd someone. The player was robbing a fuel station and we waited until he got out and shot him without any RP or communication. I recognise that this was my fault entirely, as I broke rule 2.2. I have no excuse for this other than my ignorance. I am extremely sorry.

Why should we unban you ?
I'm going to be honest. When I started playing I just skimmed over the rules and terms like RDM and VDM were extremely vague to me due to that disastrous error. Now I realise that on a serious RP server like this I should have read the rules before I got banned for breaking said rules. I now realise that what I did was stupid and I know what I should have done instead, as I read the rules in their entirety in the time I was banned. I deeply regret the inconvenience I have caused to the player and the staff team. I promise if you unban I will not break any more rules and will be an upstanding example of the ideal roleplayer.

Please confirm this unban request is for you.

You know you are prompted to read the rules when you join the server for the first time, it's your responsibility to do so, and you skimmed through them?

Please quote the rule that you've broken and explain it in your own words.

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) is considered RDM. (Punishment is a ban).

This rule is not applicable in the red zone.
In my own words, this rule essentially means that you can't just shoot at someone for whatever reason, as that would be a lack of roleplay. Instead, you have to act out your intentions. For example, if you mean to rob them, you have to stop them and explain what you are doing/what you are planning on doing. Communication is key to avoid RDM, making up a story that is appropriate for the situation and makes logical sense is the correct way to handle hostile events instead of being hot-headed and not even trying to engage in any sort of roleplay and just shooting at the player. In short, don't be a gangster in-game; roleplay, and make hostilities civilised.

This of course doesn't apply to the red zone, but both parties have to be in the red zone for this rule to not apply.

Again, I am extremely sorry that I just skimmed over the rules. I don't know what I was thinking, but I assure you that I have corrected my mistake.

Next time, if I were to rob a person, I would politely ask them to stop, and initiate a conversation. Usually that conversation would entail me telling them the situation (that I'm robbing them and they can't call for help as I took their mobile phone, etc.) Then I would continue by asking what they are currently doing to evaluate what I could take off them. If they cooperate I would ask them for car keys, check their storage, etc, and hopefully everything would go peacefully. Only after making up an interesting RP story and only after a good bit of communication would I use my weapon to disable their vehicle in case of severe resistance, such as fleeing.

I would do that next time, instead of just straight up shooting at the player. In my opinion, weapons are more of an intimidation tool during robberies.

Okay, prove you've learned your lesson and don't let us see you here again.
