Server 1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
We were gearing up at a rebel outpost to get ready for a bank job when a helicopter landed outside the tower. There was about 5 of us who surrounded the heli telling him to get out or there will be consequences. He refused our requests for about 30 seconds or so before we shot him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uDLqVkFZ9w&feature=youtu.be

Why should we unban you ?
Because i'm a quality roleplayer and i've never been told about my poor RP before, in fact i've actually been praised on it by multiple people. I didn't know that "he couldn't hear me" from inside the chopper as his rotors were still spooled up; i know this now for next time. I have linked a youtube video of us surrounding the helicopter:

Looking back on this, I can understand that the guy in the heli wasn't doing himself any justice by just sitting there, however, you have to see it from a Role Play perspective. A fully spooled up heli with the engine, rotors etc. going full speed would be rather loud. Although the player may be able to hear you in game, in role-play, this wouldn't be the case.

In future, if you wanted to rob someone in a helicopter, what would you do differently?

@Joose

Instead of shooting the pilot, ill shoot the tail rotor out if he isnt complying. This will mean that the pilot wont be able to take off, forcing him to get out. If he still doesnt comply then the engine will be shot out and if he still doesnt comply. He will be killed. Also in future i will try harder to make myself heard.

@JooseYour idea is spot on: Next time, shoot the rotors.

But, that being said.. Speaking from experience, a helicopter on the ground, even if spooled up, will hear what you are saying.. And even if they are not hearing it, the fact 3 guys are pointing big ass rifles at you, you either 1) get out and ask wtf is going on because you can't hear them.. or 2) try to take off before they can shoot you..

What you don't do is think: Oh, I can't hear them, I'll just ignore these big rifles and do nothing.

So, to round up:

Not necessarily fail-RP from your side, enough compliance was issued, lethal force was appropriate in the situation. But it was not the only viable way, your own idea of shooting the rotors (or tires, if this was a car) is a method you can use to force him to not leave. If he then still does not get out, you have done what you can to avoid the use of lethal force.

Appeal accepted, player unbanned.

Additional actions taken:

Ban issued on Holo for fail-RP.

Sitting in a helicopter, refusing to get out ''because I didn't hear any threat'' is not a viable way to roleplay on a serious roleplay server. You chose to land a police skinned helicopter at a known place where illegal weapons are being sold and a place that is known for a lot of robbery.. You decide to sit in that heli and not to anything. 3 people with big guns, big enough to shatter your windows and blow your head clean off, pointing them at you and you do NOTHING? If you didn't hear them, you could have gotten out. You could have spooled down. You could have tried to panic and fly off.. All realistic options. Yet you chose to ignore the RP presented to you, which is Fail-RP.

Also, being a experienced Arma player, I know for a fact that when you are in a heli, 9.9/10 times you use earplugs. Earplugs lessen the sounds of your engine and makes it easy to hear the people outside the heli. If you did not have them in, you might not have heard them, but then you should have put them in..
