Well, I completely understand why I was banned. I used a voice changer to modify my voice to become a we bit deeper at that point at which I started to role-play as some creepy rapist and I went around hitting on hobos and rebels in Kavalla, I also hit on a admin named WHOISDAN, I'm assuming he thought it was my real voice so that's why he did not ban me, After this I decided to role-play as a homeless child I role-played with 2 medics, and then came to a rebel and asked Quote"MAMA?" At which he replied "I'M NOT YOUR f*CKING MOM" messaged a admin hit me on the head and then ziptied me. At witch point a admin teleported me and told me I was getting banned for using a voice changer I asked him for another chance he said no. Then he asked me if my deeper voice was really me, I told him I don't have that deep of a voice, He replied with it was very convincing and then said appeal on the forums to get unbanned. I was unrestrained and he told me to leave and at this point I was banned.

Why should we unban you.
I have been part of the community for a while now as a cop, a rebel, etc around 4-8 months. I knew the rules well but not well enough my intentions were not to troll. if anyone told me to leave or stop. I would have I was just looking for a great chance to have a laugh and rp, as I did with the admin, I do not want to seem as I was harassing people, If they told me to bug off I would have, instead they all decided to role-play with me I understand if I get denied, I broke a rule and even though my intentions were not to troll, a voice changer can be annoying, And then man that reported me to the admin. To sum that all up, I believe I am able to get unbanned because I was looking for RP and not to Harass people, Though it may count as TROLLING on the rules. You have a complete reason to deny my appeal. I broke a rule and not to mention this is my SECOND time breaking a rule, I'm assuming by now you might think that my apologies mean nothing and that I am complete utter failure and don't deserve a second chance. But here it is I'm sorry for the rule I broke my intentions were not to troll but to RP and have a good time with everyone, I'm truly not deserved of a second chance but if I am able to receive it, I will never use my VOICE CHANGER or break any other rules that fall in the category of TROLLING or any other rules. I hope you really read all of this to understand the guilt I have brought on myself, breaking 2 rules in the span of 4 months I am barely worthy of a second chance but if given I will make the best of it and really take it to heart.

I would like to also add I am completely responsible for my actions, and my first accident  Wilco did say FINAL chance, so if this is my last post on the forums and I am banned forever I would just like to wish everyone a Good Bye and Farewell.

 
OK so the above post isn't entirely accurate, however I'm certain that is only down to confusion, not malice.

Anton was indeed RPing with a very convincing voice changer, which I assumed was his normal voice. Had a bit of fun with myself and WhoisDan hitting on us and trying to take us back to his place. I was more than willing, drawn in by his magnificent voice. However, once I figured he was just a playa, I went back to selling my Apples. No problems so far.

A short while later I see him again behind me, now with an especially shrill and irritating voice supposedly RPing as a baby looking for his mother. I do indeed respond in character that 'I am not his fuckin' mother', and to scram. He persisted in making these noises, and by this point it was very clear he had been using voice changers all along. I check out the profile, and see he is on a final chance, and so I am aware that he must have read the rules at least once, and thus should be aware that voice changers are not accepted here.

I restrain the fellow and take him to storage and explain the situation regarding voice changers, and the action I must take. During this conversation he was apologetic, mature, and reasonable. He also left without causing any fuss.

Had there been no history of rule breaking, I may have considered leaving it at a conversation. But, having a previous ban I expect him to have known better. On review of the situation, I may be happy to agree it was not intentionally trolling, it may just have been that I found it thoroughly annoying.

Please review accordingly.

 
Yeah.... Even though I wish it was my real voice it wasn't. Also thank you for replying on my appeal

@DainMK was this good quality role play he was doing?

technically the rule was intended for trolling and it says team speak. If he was giving everyone good quality role play, I may reverse the ban.

If you want I can give you a example on ts I assure you it was GREAT rp XD. All jokes aside I did rp with the 2 characters mostly with the creepy pedo less with the baby.

Personally I enjoyed the initial RP when he used a believable voice changer. Had no idea it wasn't his voice, and he made a believable character out of it. Had this individual never used a voice changer I would have been happy to have him around. (Edit: Even with the deep voice changer, I'd still be happy to have him around as it was not disruptive, or unbelievable in the slightest)

When he changed to the shrill and irritating baby voice however, personally, I feel the RP really dropped off (6 foot black man crawling around saying 'mama' in an irritating voice isn't so believable). Especially as I saw him moments before as a different character. Hence presuming it was trolling. The RP with the medics may have been better, I did not witness that myself.

It started off very well, but I feel he made a mistake with his second choice.

Looking at the rules and the intent, it comes down to a question if it was trolling or not. Usually people with voice changers will troll to make themselves sound arab and scream allah ackbah, or do the robotic voice to sound annoying.

@Johny Whitewhat was your intent, were you looking for roleplay?

 
I was just looking for COMPLETE role-play. you can ask any witness, I wasn't running around kavala in a 3 year olds voice yelling ALLUAH-FUCKING-AKBAR. I was honestly just looking for some fun Role-play, I mean I crave for role-play, as a cop I really love it and my buddy of mine showed me where to get a voice changer and I immediately thought, the amount of fun I'm going to have with this on arma3, XD, Anyway as I said my intentions were COMPLETE role-play, And it wasn't shit role-play either as Dain said, I genially sounded like a scary black guy that was going to rape you in his house, it was honestly all for laughs not to annoy people just to make them laugh :).

I'm not using the voice changer anymore that's for sure.

Again my intent was for smiles and laughs which I did get for a while then shit started getting pretty weird when some hobo came up to me and asked me if I wanted to get into his van XD.     @Thesoldier

one more thing I realize right now it's a 50/50 for me so I would like to say this. I understand if I'm banned with a perma and if you think I'm not ready to go back and you want to give me a 1-3 weak break I completely get it. NOT SAYING HOW TO DO YOUR JOB but I'm rather suggesting :). @Thesoldier

The intent of the voicechanger rule is an anti-trolling measure. At the end of the day we're a roleplaying server first and formost. However DainMK did say it got a little bad at the end, and felt it was trolling. I also look at the totality of the circumstances, ban history, and player reputation when going through unbans.

In the end common sense tells me that the voice changer rule is for anti-trolling. However DainMK (Who is one of the best roleplayers out there.) did come to say he was impressed by the original role play you did. So I have to determine if you're a troll or not, and I do not believe you are.

I am giving you a documented warning in lieu of a ban for your actions as your intent was to roleplay, and this ban will not officially count on record. Although DainMK did his duty and was acting in well within his authority to issue a ban, I am changing it to a warning as you are already on your final chance, and I do not give second chances in accordance with our policies.

Don't screw it up.
