*NOTE* I am writing this on behalf of Matt Ajazuri as his forum account is still banned.
-Situation: Me and my friend were robbing two people at the diamond trader. My friend initiated on one of them, using a 45. ACP, telling them to raise their hands above their heads, as the area is on lockdown by me and my sniper'. The guy then raised his weapon killing my friend, so I retaliated by killing the guy. The second guy ran into a building and through the back streets and hid for a while. I then saw a hobo come over, and grab the pistol my friend used to initiate. The way in which the hobo did this, in my eyes seemed as if he was baiting due to him picking up the weapon and standing in a static position, almost asking for me to shoot him, at the time I saw this as baiting. When I peeked to shoot this hobo, (as he picked up a weapon during an active gunfight) I was killed by his friend. This same hobo was the one who I killed only moments before, therefore he was breaking NLR. After I was killed I respawned in the same place, as I felt that NLR didn’t apply due to what previously happened to me.
Samuel then teleported to me and spoke to me ingame, and i told him what occurred.
He then said
'I am going to kill you and you will spawn elsewhere, and send me a video of what happened'
I agreed and did as he asked, however when I went to check my recording I found out that it didn’t save. When I went to connect to the server a few hours ago, I was kicked upon connecting and received a ban message.
If possible I believe the chat logs should be checked from the time of the incident, (Around 2-4 a.m, not sure of a specific time) as you can clearly see me killing the same guy twice within the space of 1 minute, and then i am instantly killed upon the second time of killing him.
I spawned back in Pyrgos after being killed, as i was killed to 2 rules being broken against me;
(3.7) Baiting - Baiting for the sake of a gunfight is not roleplay.
(5.1) Breaking NLR Your character cannot return within 1000m of the location of death or be involved in the same combat situation until the 15 minute NLR timer has expired.
At the time I believed it was similar to returning after being RDM'ed, In hindsight I can see this was not the case, due to:
(5.2) A new life does not start when:
Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of VDM
Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RDM
You disconnect (end of session)
At that time I believed what I did was within the rules, obviously now I can see that it wasn’t the case.
Why should we unban you ?
I believe I should be unbanned I have only had short time on the server after my perm ban appeal, in which I have not had enough time to allow people to understand my character. Yet the people who have, I think could say i'm a chill guy. I mean no harm to the community in rule breaking, as I said i just felt wrongly done, and assumed it would be ok to spawn there and flee away to the rebel outpost. I feel that what I did was more of a misunderstanding than a rule break, due to what happened to me in-game prior to my death. Also i have submitted an application form to the police, and am looking forward to having the roleplay the police have on a daily basis. Unfortunately I don’t have video evidence, but i hope to be unbanned, and proceed in playing the server.
