I was banned for not providing high quality roleplay during a situation at the RBA Reserve.

Why should we unban you ?
At the time of my ban, I believed it was acceptable to open fire during a situation once a threat to life had been made against myself. I was told this by a level 2 staff member.
I am not the type of person to maliciously break a rule, especially one such as 2.2 which I get annoyed at when it happens to me. I understand the point of view of the police officers who had a poor experience as a result of my lack of high quality roleplay during the situation, and I am sincerely sorry to anyone who had a bad time or was annoyed as a result. I would much rather see the RPUK community be prosperous with players that are happy on all sides of Altis Life rather than upset players as a result of my own poor actions. The last thing I want for the community which I am most active in is to damage the community, which unfortunately in this case I have done, and I am sincerely sorry for my mistake.
I find myself writing this now due to me adhering to something which I was told by a lower staff member rather than adhering to the rules. I shouldn't have followed this "formula" towards gunfights, and instead followed the rules that have been worked on for many years by a large team of individuals.
As is typical in an unban appeal, I will quote the rule and explain it in my interpretation.
(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) Punishment is a ban.
I believe this rule is in place to stop the server descending into an unfun, boring and chaotic place run with no roleplay with 24/7 gunfights. Effectively, without this rule the entire island would be a 24/7 redzone, effectively making it turn from an Altis Life RPG server to a Wasteland server - something that we want to avoid as we are all here for one reason, which is to have fun roleplaying.
I am sincerely sorry for my failure to provide high quality roleplay. I was being an idiot and following something which I shouldn't have been and the community has suffered as a result. I hope those affected and the staff team can see that I am not a disruptive member of the RPUK community and try to contribute positively rather than negatively.
