(initially banned on discord then teamspeak) I posted a link in discord which i thought was a legit promotion for steam (it was not) and then Vladic Ka asked me about it. And then put banned. the link i posted could of been malicious and i was trying to get people to click on it for my own benefit which is wrong and selfish

Why should we unban you ?
I have played this server since ive had arma and is also a place where i spend a huge time of my gaming life. I am very respectfull to the server and everyone who plays it. i have recently joined the nhs as a student after passing my interview and all the medics i have patrolled with had applauded my skills. i have since had my police application accepted and was awaiting interview before i made a stupid mistake. also i think i should be unbanned because i have learnt that what i did was stupid and that i should not of been so irresponsible in a server with over 400 people and not to mention the damage this could of done to the community. i get a battle eye error on servers, no reason

Even when the link was valid. it is still using the community for your own benefit. 
Why did you think in the first place, it was acceptable to place this in a room with 300-400 people? 

 
Firstly. thank you for your response.

When i saw what was promised on the link greed had taken over me. i believed this now obvious fake link. it didnt occur to me at the time how selfish this was to post this in such a community. i do not beleive what i did was acceptable in any case yet in  a huge community server like this one. 

once again i am truly sorry for my actions

you can have 100% confidence in me to not do anything stupid and careless again as i have reread the rules and have made sure i understand each and everyone of them extensively. now anytime i think i need to post something in any type of community i will think before i post any content such as images and links and also make sure they are from trusted owners such as youtube and also that im not posting them out of greed and selfishness.

If only we could have 100% confidence in someone. You posted a link that you had not checked? Seems very strange to me your are posting something that might be for free or real cheap and have not tried out yourself. Why would we be confident in unbanning you?

 
i know the world is full of trolls and stupid people so i understand you concern about confidence and trust. secondly the link offered a system if that when you clicked it the person whos link it is gets points towards a steam giftcard. i regret posting it and only trusted it because it was recommended to me by a friend. i had obviously not checked the link thorughly and consequentley sent a link which was not from valve or steam. a scam for surveys basically. you can be confident in unbanning me because i now take extra care in what i do because i know the dangers and also because i have a lot of respect for this community and the staff because of their dedication to it. i could never do what the staff do and thats why i want to enjoy the server with everybody else. 

 
you understand this is serious, Alot of people could be scammed by your link. 
i also still ask myself the question, Why would you even send it. in a community for your own profit. 
What will you do next time different ? 

 
i now fully understand the magnitude of the situation. this could of affected many community members. like ive said before i posted the link out of greed and selfishness because of what the link promised. i thought i could get free stuff quick by posting the link on their but after the ordeal i realise that the link is a scam which i never realised before. next time i will double check everything i want to post in discord such as memes and links to legitimate websites and i will not use the community for my own benefit besides role play. basically i never intended  any harm to come to the community.

Are you sure you fully understand the rules? and that you will be monitored if you were to be unbanned.

 
yes i do fully understand the rules now and i am also aware that they stretch beyond Roleplay into OOC aswell. also being monitored is understandable as you dont want rule breakers in your community.

Your actions could of put other members of our community at risk. You will not get another chance if you are banned again for a similar reason.
