In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Well, we were following this SUV (with our hummingbird) that was going from kavala highway to Kavala Hospital. we were trying to rob them but they got away. we gave them the a warning that if they tried to take off in their car we would pop their tires. a few moments later they got in their car and drove. we flew after them with me on the Bench and myfriend as the pilot. when they got to the greenzone at the hospital we popped their wheels. after that our heli was removed. my friend got kicked for "Attitude Problem" and i got banned for "Shotting into greenzone"
(6.1.1) You must not attempt to kill anyone in a greenzone.
i guess this is the closest rule there is to what i did.

I must say im truly sorry for what i did.

Why should we unban you ?
I feel like i should be unbanned because i've been playing on this server for abit more than 2years. i just had about a 4month pause from arma, but when i got back playing it again on roleplay.co.uk i just remember how much fun it was. i think ive developed good roleplaying skills. ive always been willing to help people that needs help or needs to know something that i can help them with. but all in all i did break the rules, and im very sorry . ive had alot of fun times on this server and i hope there will be more.

According to the notes on your ban, when you were spoken to you found that "it was funny to shot into hospital GZ" and you also "think that it was stupid he can't have some fun with his friend", you were just "having fun shooting into a GZ and didn't see it as a problem".

Care to explain the above?

 
When this happend i had been drinking so my talking skills wasnt the very best, but thats no excuse.. i was tired and figured i would just tell him why i did and  what i did. i never meant to say that i didnt see this as a problem, it clearly was a problem i had broken the rules. i was in shock and i said what i said. but i swear i never meant to say that it was okay for me to break a rule. i must say im very sorry for what i did. i swear nothing like this will ever happen again.

 
You say it won't happen again, but the next time you start drinking and things get out of hand, how do we know this or something similar won't occur?

 
Next time i get drunk im sure i wont break any rules. because ive been off the server for one week now, and i really miss the roleplay and the fun off it. so i will appreciate being able to play and that will make me alot more careful when i play.

to be honest, i cant remember this. i would never call someone retarded,  even my ex girlfriend was handicapped/retarded. this is not the type of language i would use on a regular basis, when i said this it must have been under a scinario where i must have been stressed or having a bad day. but i know thats not an excuse. as the server has a rule that states just this. 

(1.2) Discrimination of any kind is punished by a permanent ban without appeal.

but as i said i cant remember this, im truly sorry. 

 
Where are you allowed to shoot other players and when are you allowed to shoot someone? 

 
There are quite a few ways you can shoot someone, but ill just make an example how you shouldnt and how you should do it.

lets say youre being pulled over by a cop and you got drugs in your truck. the way not to initiate would be to say "put your hands up or die" or "you got 5seconds to put your hands up or youre dead" these are both very bad ways do to it.

lets say youre in the same situation you have been pulled over by a cop, but this time you initiate on him by saying "i got boys in the area, please leave the area" if he dosent belive you or for some reason dosent leave, you can ask if he wants a warning shot and have your friend give one. before giving him the warning shot i would have said "after the warning shot is given, i want you to put your hand up and wait for my orders" then if he starts running and unholstering hes gun you will be allowed to shoot to kill.

 
I know you were asked a specific question on when you can and can't shoot someone, however, as his is a 'Role Play' server. Given the scenario you've described above, would you consider any other options over the 'I have friends in the area' one?

Yes as i said there are many more, as you could have used many more. Ill make another example.

Lets say you been running in athira outside any zones. A rebel is chasing you yelling "put your hands up and stop running! Or i will have to use lethal force and put you down!" Theoreticaly you will be allowed to shoot to kill as he has treatened your life.

 
The point long beard was trying to get across is that not every scenario needs to end up with people shooting at each other.  It is a Roleplay server at the end of the day, not a wasteland server.

Are you hear to RP or just to get in gunfights?

 
I get that this is not a wasteland server. And no im not only here for the gunfights. But yes gunfights has a factor as why i play. But there are many other factors as well, such as earning money and having fun with the gang or just helping out hobos that needs help to buy a drivers license.

I thought Long Beard asked if i had any other initiations other than the "boys in the area one" as i was asked when i was allowed to shoot someone.

Please Refrain from such behavior again, otherwise your stay around here will be a short one.
