Reason given for your ban.
Combat Logging

The Server you initially were banned on.
Server 1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
Firstly, I believe that I was banned for Combat logging which I have now learnt is this following rule:
(2.5) Combat logging at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

What specifically occured was I combat logged after being taken back to the police station. Combat logging is against the rules and I hope I won't be in that situation EVER again.

Why should we unban you ?
Firstly, I believe that I should be unbanned because I'm definitely not a rule breaker. I'm usually on the safe side and hardly get banned but today I feel very guilty for being banned from combat logging and feel that I need a second chance. I look at situations like this as, if people didn't make ANY mistakes then we'd all be sitting in mansions, driving lambos and drinking Whiskey, sadly...mistakes occur. I guess I was at the WRONG PLACE at the WRONG TIME doing the WRONG THING. If I were given a second chance in this lovely community that has been worked on by very qualified computer friendly lads then I'd appreciate it. Combat logging honestly is a dick move and ruins a lot of roleplay for everyone,

We're not always in the best position to make the best decision?

I regret everything that's occured and would love to be sitting there right now driving around Altis. Please give me that last one chance. Please don't be the one that declines this and makes me feel depressed for the rest of my day, that one more chance can make a significance. I wouldn't mind going back to the police station and handing my gear back and facing the arrest exactly from where my combat log left off.

Sorry for the trouble I have caused for the other roleplayers involved in this situation.

You're definitely not a rule breaker??? Are you joking? You literally just got banned for breaking a rule!

Why do we have the combat logging rule in place?

Why exactly did you decide to log out?

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to reply to my un-ban appeal. Firstly, by claiming I'm not a 'rule-breaker' I didn't mean this certain scenario, I meant like I'm not a general rule-breaker that goes around breaking multiple rules for the fun of breaking rules. Anyway, let me get to the main point; I generally believe that the combat logging rule is strictly in place in order to ensure that people don't get used to leaving mid-situations in order for them to save their gear, die in a fight or even avoid prison so that next time they log on they can feel safe that they've kept their gear next time they come on. Thirdly, for the main reason why I logged, now this is because I felt some sense of 'gear fear' as I really did not want to lose my gear and a sense of urge just forced me to log and feel safe. I've now overcome this and would never log out again as if everyone combat logged, then no one would lose their gear which means the economy would drop.

I at least applaud you for your honesty and didn't pull the 'my internet died' line.

So you combat logged in order to save your gear. Do you feel it was worth it, and can you describe how the police who invested time in capturing you, RP'ing with you, and ultimately transporting you all the way back to a police station, would have felt when you just vanished into thin air?

Thank you for replying :) Honestly I 100% regret saving my gear via combat logging as it truly isn't worth it, if other people actually go through the process of having their gear taken off of them then what makes me so unique? Nothing... I also believe that the officers who spent some hardcore time trying to take me back to the police station would've felt some sort of anger or sadness as everyting they did to try get me was gone into thin air. They also walked me back all the way to police station instead of a car which truly goes to show their dedication towards the police force. Combat logging just made me feel like a total fool. I'd honestly go back to the station and hand the officers my gear back. I've now fully understood the rule I've broken and promise it won't occur again.

You did state on your report a player

"As me and Omar live within the same estate we sometimes have connection issues. Firstly, we didn't simply just log off as the video clearly shows us being disconnected by Battleye in the log at the bottom left. We couldn't come back on for about another hour or two, so we couldn't resolve. When I was disconnected, I took a screenshot, so did Omar if you'd like to see it? "

"sometimes have connection issues. "

You joined back to the server, with your mate  Minuets after you "lost connection"

So it was a "mistake" combat logging was it also a mistake Lying to staff on a report?

Hey there, I admit that I lied on that report because I had a slight fear of being banned as I've never been banned before so I tried to avoid it no matter what I did. Now I understand how stupid it was and I should've just said the truth in the first place as I was banned either way. It was also very foolish for me to lie as I would've potentially wasted the staff members time by lying to them. I feel like I had make a even bigger mistake ontop of combat logging as you mentioned and have learnt from both mistakes for future references. I believe that if you say the truth it becomes your past, but if I lie it becomes part of my future, that's why I'm here, because I've lied which has resulted to me now having to explain myself. I apologize if I have wasted any staff members time.

Thanks,

DrMerkz

So you're someone who will lie to get themselves out of situations such as a report a player... what about in un-ban appeals? Have you lied here too, probably best to come clean seeing as we've caught you out once already!

I can honestly say that there is nothing on this un-ban appeal which has been lied about. Everything on this un-ban appeal has been answered to the best of my ability. I was banned for combat logging and have admitted every single thing that occurred in the situation. I lied in my report because I had a fear of getting banned as I've never been banned before which was a natural instinct that caused me to try and not get banned. Again, I apologise for wasting anyone's time within the staff team.

Combat logging is a serious offence and I hope you've learnt your lesson, lying will get you nowhere.

I'm willing to unban you for a final chance, if you are found breaking server rules again you will be issued a permanent ban and you'll have to wait 6 months before you can even attempt to appeal the ban.

Unbanned 17/03/2018 for a final chance.
