In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
On the 20/10/2018 I got a distress call on the radio from my friend, he was being chased by the cops after having a hostage with him.
I rushed down to the airport and got my Blackfish out, I noticed straight away something was wrong with the controls, I couldn't control the motors to point them forwards or upwards. You usually push them forwards to bring the Blackfish a little forward, and just point them up if you want to go straight up.

I couldn't steer the motors at all, so it just kept going up. My friend was closing in and I didn't have much time, I decided to go with the plan anyways.
As soon as they got in the Blackfish a police Taru started to set up right above us. There's a weird thing were if you sometimes land with the Blackfish it goes back up to 100% throttle and just goes straight back up, I never learned how to counter this. So as they're hovering above us, I can't control the Blackfish and we go pretty much straight up into them.

As I'm in shock looking back over the crashed helicopter I was asking in teamspeak what we should do, if that was OK. I got no response because they're all roleplaying in the Quilin and couldn't hear me. I thought that we can handle with it after this roleplay situation, since I didn't want to ruin their experience. While looking back, I mentioned I kept going straight forwards. If you go straight forwards from the small Airport near Redzone, you will get to the Redzones. As soon as I noticed that we were in the near of Redzones I turned the Blackfish around heading towards Poseidon. So it wasn't my intention of taking them there, it all happened very quickly and I was too slow to respond correctly.

I was banned for 2.1 - VDM - I VDM:ed into a Taru, which is absolutely not okay, and I know that.
I was also banned for 6.3.2 - Going into a redzone with hostages which is not okay since I endangered their lives, they could have been shot.

I was going to try and sort out the situation, but as I said noone answered in teamspeak what we should do, so I just kept going and wanted to wait till the situation was over. And after that I could talk to whoever was involved and discuss what happened. As I said I didn't want to ruin the people's roleplay session in my Blackfish.

Please let me know if you need further explanation of how it all went down and I will try to explain more detailed.

I really hope you understand how I explain, I don't think I'm very good at it.
I think that I should be unbanned because my intention was never to be malicious, it's never been. I have been on this community for 4 years soon, and it's really sad to be getting my first ban just now for this, when I really didn't mean to break any rules.

I always try to stay by the rules, no matter what I do I always take a second, a third time thinking about if it's right or wrong. People who play with me know that. Which usually ends up with me getting killed, for example. If I'm initiating on someone, I am always initiating a little "too much" because I want to be sure that they get the point, so while I'm telling them reasons to put up their hands and giving them all the chances in the world to surrender I usually end up getting shot instead. But that's fine, I'd rather not break the rules than to break them, I consider myself an honest player. I play airsoft too, that "sport" is alot about honesty, you should rather take a hit than not taking the hit, more fun for everyone.

I never at some point thought that what I did was okay, I was going to try and resolve it and talk with the guys what they thought. Both with the people in the gang and the ones involved from the police force. I thought it was going to be okay to wait out the situation, or atleast wait till my friends know where they want to go so I could drop them off, and then when I'm alone I can handle it without them. The admins brought down the Blackfish not long after we took off so I didn't have time to contact the people involved.

I'm genuinely really sorry and feel very bad about what happened, I'm sorry that I made mistakes that lead to people dying and ruining it for them. When the admins teleported to me they said that I should have tried to resolve it or atleast contact them the people involved. Now if I were to get unbanned I will contact the people that is involved in situations where I might have broken any rules, as soon as the event has happened. And not let the situation go on. I should just stop right there and deal with it straight away.

(2.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions including while sling loading, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban.

Using a vehicle as a weapon, purposefully or not, removes any instance of Roleplay. And Roleplay is quintessential to the Altis Life server on Roleplay.co.uk. Roleplay is whaty makes the server enjoyable for users and creates the long lasting user base, made up of many who have been here for years (including myself). With roleplay we create rich stories, back grounds, personas and events that give this server life. But if VDM was allowed, these opportunities for character development would be lost, and the purpose of the server defunct.

To elaborate further on this rule, even if initiation has been made, VDM is not allowed (exluding certain vehicles). With the abundance of fast moving vehicles on the island, without this rule, every vehicle is a potential, unstoppable weapon. The server wouyld descend into chaos if we were allowed to VDM.

(6.3.2) Hostages are not to be taken into the Red Zones.

Red Zones are "hostile" areas, and to bring a hostage into this hostile area would endanger the hostages life as you cannot control what happens in the redzone. Furthermore, any attempt made by police or security forces to rescue a hostage would be too risky, putting their lives at risk from potentially multiple uninvolved parties indirectly drawn into the narrative. Also, roleplay cannot be safely conducted within the red zone which goes back to my previous statement that Roleplay is quintessential to the Altis life server on Roleplay.co.uk.

What have you learned from this situation? 
And how will you try to prevent this from happening again?

I have learned that if I've broken a rule, I shall contact the people involved asap. Either over TS or ingame just to let them know that I want to try to resolve it or atleast that I've aknowledged my mistake.

I have learned that I should not be driving / flying anything that I do not have full control over. 

To prevent this from happening again I will

1. Learn how to properly fly/drive a vehicle before I go out in different roleplay scenarios with it. If I'm still not sure how to control it I will not use it at all.

2. Whenever a rule break has taken place I need to either notify the person(s) involved right away that I'll be with them in a second. Or just resolve it right away if the situation lets me.

I would remind you to re-read the rules to ensure you are 100% clear on all of them, you may not be given another chance if you make another slip-up!
