In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
To start off, I'm not trying to come off as hostile here, but I do not think that I have broken any rules. I can see why the person who banned me would have gotten the impression that I was trying to VDM. However, immediately after the incident the "victim" of my VDM shot me dead, so I obviously did not kill him. Also, what happened at the time of the incident was that I came along driving in my car, and I see a person standing in the middle of the road pointing something that I believe was a gun at me (it was very dark at the time so it was hard to tell). I panicked and started zig-zagging in attempt to avoid getting shot, and as I passed him I may or may not have hit him, I'm not sure. Right after that I was shot dead in my car and shortly after I got banned from the server.

Why should we unban you ?
As I stated above I do not think that I actually broke any rules, and it was all simply a misunderstanding. Again, not trying to come off as hostile as I do not know what your normal process is in these events, but this is just some personal feedback: Why did you not contact me before the ban? That way we could have discussed what happened instead of leaving me helplessly banned.

Okay let me explain the situation here for the staff member dealing with it. Me and my friend turn up at the gun store. We see 1 offroad and 1 truck present. Also 1 guy with a drawn pistol in the gunstore. We tell the guy to put his gun away, I run away to not be in his field of fire. He doesn't put his gun away but backs away from me, being around a corner. My friend, who had position behind the guy with the gun, shot him when the guy didn't holster his gun and moved toward my friend.

After this, we go back to our car. We see the offroad mentioned before drive around town, ALMOST hitting me. It then turns around and drives back our way, actually driving me over. We already figured this was going to happen, so my friend shot the guy after he drove me over.

After we left the town, I proceeded to ban you for VDM since what you did there is unacceptable. The fact you didn't kill me doesn't mean you did not break rules. We have a script that prevents people from being killed when hit by a car, but driving someone over or using your car as a weapon in any way is against the rules. You very nearly hit me the first time, then turned around and drove back towards us and then actually hit me. If you were, as you said, scared because we had a gun, why drive TOWARDS us again?

As for why we do not try to warn or speak to you: Because it was plain and simple from our point of view. Almost hits me once, turns car around, drives back, actually hits me.. means VDM and it damn well looked intentional. In such a case, bans will be issued on the spot and this appeal is your place to try and explain your side.

I will leave this now for the member of staff to deal with it, as I was involved in the situation myself. As long as you understand what you did is wrong and you can never drive people over and should, if it was not intentional, at least avoid trying to pass a pedestrian on such close distance as you tried, because when you hit someone the way you did, it will always be taken as VDM by the other side.

 
As I said, I can for sure understand how it would look like VDM from your POV. But if you try to view it from my side, the reason I was "patrolling" the town was to try and find your and your friends location so that my friend could escape with our truck safely. Once I found you in the middle of a dark street pointing a gun at me, knowing that you were armed while I was not, I'm not trying to stick around long enough to find out if you're going to shoot me or not. The fastest way of getting out of there is not to stop, turn around, and go the other way, which is why I kept going towards you while trying to zig-zag in order to make it harder for you to aim.

If this is against the rules I apologize and can only hope you can grant me a second chance. I would also please like to know what would have been the proper course of action on my end, so that I can bring that knowledge for the next time I'm playing on an RP server.

 
@ArrogantBreadAs I said I did not know where they were. I turned back because I was returning to my friend who was still alive, which was when I came across the guy standing in the middle of the road.

 
OK, well your safest bet in future is to stop the vehicle and apologise to the individual you ran over. It can spark some fun roleplay at times at the least.

Unbanned, I suggest reading the rules again before rejoining the server
