In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I had just robbed a truck from the HM Gold Bank, and shortly after I noticed somebody teleporting infront of me. I was confused as to why this was happening and then just before I was given a 'final warning' on OOC, I realised that he was asking me to stop. After receiving this final warning on OOC I stopped the truck as requested, and asked why I had to. Even though I stopped and got out after this final warning I was kicked and banned for breaking rule (7.2.5).

Why should we unban you ?

I never robbed anybody at the HM, I just lockpicked a truck that was sitting by the entrance.

I tried to go on and discuss this with the person that banned me, as he had said to my friend. However he was 'too busy' to explain his ban in detail. I would also like to add that in the rules, it does not clearly say that you cannot steal vehicles that are at the HM site. I was also not taking any sort of activity in the heist that was taking place, even though it was not clear that it was even taking place anyway. There is a recorded video of what happened and the poor admin display that I felt I had received. I was really not happy with this ban, and I would like an explanation as to why I've been banned for a rule that isn't even there. Is this admin even allowed to teleport after me to tell me to stop a truck? Again, I would like to point out that this was HIS group's truck at the HM site, and in my opinion this is just a clear abuse of power, and an unreasonable ban. Whether the staff team care or not, I am extremely unhappy with the way that this was dealt with, and I would like some answers.

You stole a truck that was involved in the HM Treasury. I was the only staff member on at the time hence why my gang member, Fetty Wap, came to me telling me about this incident. 

It is your responsibility to know the server rules. You was banned under: 7.2.5.

I don't see how this was poor admin display, I could've banned you without any attempt to contact you. I was giving you more than enough time to see me teleporting after you, unfortunately you decided to ignore me shouting and my obvious suit I was wearing.

Regarding this, it literally states in the rules that admins are also unavailable to talk to on teamspeak regarding bans... Another rule you have failed to acknowledge...? I was playing Overwatch with my friends if you really do have to know... And couldn't just tab out to speak to you about the rule you broke.

This isn't my job by the way... I have other hobbies and games that I do/play, so whether you think it is poor or not, I don't really care - I stopped you whilst you was breaking a server rule and returned the truck so they could continue their serious roleplay that was taking place at the bank that you rudely disrupted.

Leaving this to another staff member, as I am accused of power abuse, etc.......

I didn't ignore you shouting atall, I simply couldn't hear you. I saw the OOC message which was my 'final warning' and after I stopped you banned me anyway. That's the poor admin display imo. You know how loud those trucks are. And the rule about you being unavailable to talk in teamspeak, you told me to come onto teamspeak, your friends did. How is that my fault? You're accusing me of breaking a rule when its something you told me to do?

I didn't tell you to go onto Teamspeak at all. It was probably other people saying the usual, "don't discuss it on here, take it to Teamspeak".

Do not lie to me either, you're video shows you able to hear me, you even say to your friend,(paraphrased) "He's asking me to stop."

Again, I could've just banned you without warning - it is your responsibility to know the server rules and you are warned upon entry of the game servers.

I said in the appeal that just before you wrote on sidechat I realised you wanted me to stop. I'm not lying, so don't accuse me of that. The video might hear you asking me to stop, but what I hear at the time and what you hear when you re-watch it are 2 different things. I was checking around while I was being chased. It's like when you watch a video back and you see something that you didn't see the first time. That is an invalid comment to make, and you should know that.

Before I answer your questions. I want you to answer mine.

What rule did I break, and is it clear that what I did is against the rule. I don't see anywhere in the rule he quoted that says I can't do what I did. If it's against the rules then the rule is not clear, and I want a full explanation of the rule.

You were not at the beginning of the heist, you were not involved. This is a roleplay scenario between the people who start and the police if they respond.

You yourself even said:

So therefore you were not permitted to take part, and that includes trying to steal a vehicle being used for said heist.

(1.7) As a roleplay game every situation is different and not everything can be detailed within these rules and so it is important to remember this is an adult community and some things simply come down to common sense. Things like the following; do not swear at people (out of roleplay), troll people, or bully people otherwise you will simply be banned from our servers.

Common sense says if you're not involved with the gang, you don't take part. You can rob the truck if you know there is gold after the fact and set up a road block, but if you sneak into an HM while it's ongoing you've disrupted the roleplay between the people doing the heist and the police. 

If you sneak into the bank after the fact because the police leave it unlocked, and steal from the vault than that's fair game.

 
When I read that rule, I perceived that to solely mean people robbing the HM can only be people there who are there at the start. You dont have more people joining in to rob a bank if a group has already started. Claiming it to be common sense is not really fair. Considering you promote roleplay 24/7. How am I supposed to know that because a bank is being robbed I can't rob a truck that's nearby? The rule doesn't say "no other players can enter the area and interact with the players involved or any vehicles that are there". The rule just states that the group can't call for backup. I was just performing roleplay like I do everywhere else on the map.

Another question I have, why was I banned after I listened to the only warning that I could receive? I was given a final warning but was banned anyway. Surely something isn't right there? Banning me straight away would have been better than giving me a final warning and then banning me anyway.

I'm not trying to be difficult. If I feel like the ban is 100% justified I would just accept it. But there are a few blind spots that I'm trying to get my head around, so that nothing like this happens again to me if I'm unbanned or anyone else that misunderstands the rule.

No. That isn't how things work around here, lad.

Carry on with this type of attitude and you will be shown the door extremely swiftly. This is an adult community... You speak to people like an adult, respectfully.

This is me pulling you a side, you really want to follow this advice too... I will let another staff member continue as stated before.

I feel like you've just avoided what I've said. I'm sorry if you think I was rude, I didn't mean to be. But you can't just ignore my post. I'm trying to understand my ban. The staff team should respect when a community member is wanting to question something. I know I probably mean nothing. You have a massive community so what do I matter? There's nothing I can do if you think that way. But I'm not trying to make you unban me without me having to go through the process. I just want you to understand my point of view. Not just disregard it. Sorry again for my tone.

Ok it's over and done with now we it was a valid ban. We can continue this appeal if you answer my questions please.

When the HM treasury is being robbed, no other members of the community other than police are allowed anywhere near the HM site. Any members will be told to leave the area so that the roleplay can continue without interruption.

Members of the community are not allowed near the HM treasury while it is being robbed. You are only allowed to intercept the gang AFTER they have left with the gold from the HM treasury. Failure to comply with this rule can lead to disciplinary action for the members involved.
