Forum Report - Rule 3.5

The Server you initially were banned on.
Server 1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned because I broke rule 3.5. I was taken hostage at Blackmarket area, they person that took me hostage zip-tied me, and blindfolded me. He then proceeded to remove my communications and GPS. Shortly after he had taken my communications and GPS, one of the people in my group asked me through group chat to unmute on discord. I then unmuted for around 2 seconds and said, "I have been taken hostage and lost my GPS so I cant talk". At this time all of the people in my group were dead, so there was noting that they could have done to save me anyway. I did not give any information away about my kidnapper or where I was, I just said what i said to stop them asking me to unmute, so I would be able to hear my kidnapper clearly.

When I unmuted I did not hot-mic in game, for this reason I was banned.

Why should we unban you ?
I think I should be unbanned because I have played on this server on and off for around 2 years, and this is the first thing I have ever done wrong, and in my opinion it is a very minor thing that I did wrong. I did not give any information away as to where I was or who had taken me, the only reason I did what I did was to stop them asking multiple times, which would ruin the roleplay. But I do accept that what I did was wrong and that I should never have done it in the first place.

I know this isnt and excuse for braking the rules, but I have recently come back to play at Roleplay.co.uk, from playing at ALRP, a modded Arma 3 life server. At ALRP, I got very used to using TFR, when everything you say in game gets heard by people around you. It didn't even enter my mind that when I was speaking very briefly on discord that he wouldn't be able to hear me.

If I was to get unbanned, I would be on my best behavior for the rest of my time that I play at this community to make sure that something like this never happens again.

(3.5) You must hot-mic all communications that have been made over teamspeak when they are relevant to influencing the course of roleplay. This means that if you are communicating to fellow team members via Teamspeak and you are in audio proximity range of another player (they can hear you), you must hot mic any commands given so the rival player can overhear. This rule does not apply if both sides are engaged in a gunfight together.

This means if you are in a roleplay situation with someone, and also talking to people on other programs like teamspeak, discord etc. you must hot-mic everything you say so that the people you are in the situation with can hear everything that you say. This stops you being able to call for help, without the people surrounding you knowing.
