Reason given for your ban.

The Server you initially were banned on.
Server 1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned on the grounds that I asked some really dodgy questions to nominated members of this community and then helped record the answers in a google doc database, in most cases this was done unknowingly to the nominees. I was asked the same questions and thought they were funny so I joined in and continued to help ask these questions to 40+ members of the community until the google doc was deleted. In hindsight, I realize how stupid it was and how these extremely idiotic questions could be perceived in a different manner than what I perceived it to be, I now write this asking for another shot.

Why should we unban you ?
I would like to be unbanned as I'm genuinely not here to cause Issues, I've liked the server since I started playing on it and I do really enjoy my time on this server, Its a proper escape that I find myself spending a lot of time playing on. I had no malicious intentions or motive when carrying out the questions and It was only up until staff had told me very detailed how the questions could be/are being perceived as and then I realized the mistake I had made committed and I 100% support the punishment I have received and I understand that I was in the wrong and now I ask to be given a second chance and to be allowed to rejoin the server again

Well the questions when they were asked to me i thought it was a joke, and it was so unexpected that it made it even more funny to me. So when i started doing the questions I thought I could give off the same impression and the same jokingly feel to the nominee's. My intentions was for people to laugh at the weird questions and to find it funny, Like I did. But I do see how not everyone has my mindset and that what I find funny and a joke could be interpreted differently.

Why did you feel the need to ask such personal qeustions, And on top of that even store them in a Database?

I know its not a justifiable reason but I was told to, I would be told to go ask the questions to so and so and I did and then I was told to write down the answers there and so I did,  bit stupid I know but I guess im just stupid myself because even The questions themself didn't seem that personal to me untill staff got involved with the whole situatuon and told me what I was doing. At the start Norman gave me alot of praise for it, I was the "quiz master" but It slowly turned into a chore and I was gonna stop but before I did, It did

So because you're told to do something you have to do it?

From what we've worked out you were pretty active in seeking people out on your own and asking them the questions.  It also became apparent that the process of nominating and sharing the answers with other people didn't really start until you yourself got involved.  Likewise, the fact that storing the details in a DB didn't become normal until you got involved and started writing all the information down on sticky notes, so I don't buy the entire "I was only doing what I was told" story.

No not at all, I've learned that the hard way now I guess, but I trusted norman, He was very respected in the community and I thought that he knew what he was doing so I did what he said with the thought process that nothing was wrong.

initially, Norman had already done a lot of NHS command and had their answers and who they nominated already written down after that It was the process of asking who they nominated and so on and on. I'll admit I wanted to get my friends to do the quiz because I found it funny and thought they would too but that was me asking one or two of them out of my own accord and then continuing with asking who they nominated.

didn't really start until you yourself got involved.
I don't know how It worked previously of myself because, Well because I wasn't there, But I wasn't talking to norman like "Let's get this on a DB" or anything, I think it all came from a joke I made to norman

This may have started because of a joke I said to Norman. After he questioned me I asked him for his answers in return, In which he started reading them out. At the end of his list, I said something along the lines of "oh I have your answers now, I'm gonna tell everyone" or "I'm gonna show everyone" but I believe this joke got took a bit far when the next time I spoke to him he showed me a Google Doc with my answers and about 4-5 others on it. I'm unsure if he created it after I made my joke or If it was a premade thing but that's when I got introduced to this google doc that he had made and owned. He gave me editing perms and then from then on I was apart of this whole situation. he would tell me who he was going to drag into his room and then id join and ask the questions and then I'd leave. Most of the time I didn't fill in the answers to the sheet, norman would listen and do it as we went along but I did too do it sometimes when norman disconnected from the TS.

writing all the information down on sticky notes
I don't know anything about this.

So now we're denying something you already told us that you did?

In this case, there's not much choice; I've consulted with leads and management who were involved in this investigation and in your responses, there's already a lot of back-tracking and blame-shifting occurring.  You've directly contradicted yourself on multiple occasions in your responses compared to what you actually told us that you yourself did.

Go away for 2 weeks, think about what you've told us if you want to be truthful and honest about everything then, if you do, come back - make a perm appeal. Ultimately, the leads and management are in a better position to deal with this as they have much more information available to them regarding the entire issue.

Denied - 2-week cooldown then make a perm appeal.

Although your appeal has been Denied, please give the rules a thorough read here.
