Reason given for your ban.
Returning to HM
The Server you initially were banned on.
In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
We as a gang were attempting to do an RBA bank robbery - I die very close to the hm itself (in the compound of buildings behind the church as far as I remember), respawn, regear and wait in a helicopter about 1.5km away from the HM. After my 15 mins are up, one of the trucks leaves the compound so I tail it to give it protection from the two tarus and vehicles that are chasing it - I eventually give up as we are told the second truck (and final one that has gold - the third truck is empty and there is no gold inside the vault, as far as we are aware at this point we plan on leaving it at the HM) is ready to leave the compound too. It does, so I return to Zaros, land my helicopter and kill Coozer who has decamped from a hunter, who is currently in a fight with the tempest which is full of gold. As far as we're aware, this is the last person there so I feel safe enough to repair the last truck and use it as bait - I am then banned while repairing it.
Why should we unban you ?
As long as I have ever been a rebel, I have understood it that if you are a part of a rebel organisation and are attempting an HM treasury, if you die in the 'robbing' stage you can not return UNTIL the trucks are in transport stage; at this point, rebels can return to the fight. I would like to make it clear that ALL the trucks with gold inside of them had left the compound, there was no gold left in the vault, and no rebels nor police were inside the compound, thus making all arguments that we were still in the 'robbing' stage null. Viewing Matt's stream after, it seems that he thought I was actually within the HM compound when I had killed Coozer, and when someone asks why I had been banned in the chat he says something along the lines of "'police/unmc can return to hm...civlians can not...' if he was involved in the transport stage, that's fine, but he was at the HM itself". In my opinion, and probably most people's option as a black and white answer, the HM compound will count as the area enclosed by the walls around where the HM is located on the map. One of the trucks at this point was a ways past the main airport closing in to the UNMC border, and the other was maybe 50-100m away from the compound (estimates?) - this implies he thought that the bank robbery was still active, when in reality it wasn't and everyone had already left the HM.
Looking at the rules now, I can not find this rule - it was either removed and not written down in the changelogs (in which case I don't know how we can be expected to know about this rule change, as it is unlikely we would find these changes written in a document containing dozens of rules), or alternatively this "transport = rebels can come back after NLR" rule was NEVER a rule, yet nothing (or rarely ever, to the point not anyone knows about it) was done about it. I've spoken to 4 admins about this, all of which have thought that either it was an unwritten rule (in which case how can I know the limits of it? And what does 'transport stage' equal, if not leaving the HM compound itself?), or the rule was removed.
If this was never a rule, then the management/staff team need to be more clear on this because as far as I'm aware of, and this is no exaggeration, most of the community (including many staff members) believe that this rule exists.
I believe I should be unbanned because I was under the assumption, as are so many members of this community, that this was a completely legitimate thing to do, that I have along with practically everyone I know, been doing it since my very first day of being a legitimate rebel. Anyone who knows me knows I wouldn't purposely break a server rule, especially something as obvious as this, when I've already put so much to the community and since day 1 have tried to be extremely helpful and friendly to most people in the community and I'd hope that a lot of people would find that the I am a positive contributor to the community. I am an honest person who speaks my mind - this ban appeal may seem like I'm not trying to take any of the blame, which I guess is kind of true, but that's honestly the way I see it - people will know that when I fuck up, I admit to my mistakes, but I don't really see this as one.
