By Ozzycazy Altis News
The mayor only realized something unusual was happening when he heard the sound of explosions and gunfire coming from the outskirts of Kavala.
"I phoned some friends over there, and they said armed groups had taken over, some of them foreign, some rebels," the secretary said. "The gunmen told them, 'We've come to get rid of the APD, and to help you.'"
The following day, the attackers crossed the Kavala bridge and took the other half of the city. police, who vastly outnumbered their assailants, returned fire resulting in casualties, many of the U.N.M.C soldiers were seen stripping off their uniforms as they joined a flood of panicked civilians. Below are officers that were taken hostage after the firefight and were taken far east to U.N.M.C territory.

It was 27th August 2036, and Alti’s second biggest city, with a population of around 10,000, had just suffered 510 casualties. The group then calling itself U.N.M.C alits and United Non-Conformist Military Corps.
Four days earlier, black banners streaming, a few hundred of the town of Rodopoli militants had crossed the U.N.M.C border in a cavalcade from their bases in eastern Altis and met little resistance as they moved towards their biggest prize, Kavala.
Rich dividends were immediate. The police rebuilt, trained and equipped by the B.A.F since the UK-led invasion of 2030, abandoned large quantities of lightly armored vehicles and weaponry, eagerly seized by the militants. They also reportedly grabbed something like $100m from the Central RBA international.

Despite territorial losses, U.N.M.C survives, thanks in no small part to its status as "the best-funded terrorist organisation" in history. While most people decry the validity inferred from the name of terrorists, the group's financing is certainly more reminiscent of a state than that of organisations such as rebels that relied heavily on donations to fund their operations.

"At the beginning, they behaved well," said CSI . "They had a peace treaty’, people liked that. On their checkpoints they were friendly and helpful - 'Anything you need, we're here for you.'"
The peace was to last a few weeks. But just down the road, terrible things were already happening. As the APD expanded throughout the east, the militants moved swiftly down to Lakka. Towns and villages fell like skittles. Within a day they had captured the town of and its huge oil refinery, and moved on swiftly to seize Agios, but were met with huge resistance.
Just outside Agios was a huge roadblock by the APD, operation "You shall not pass" war against U.N.M.C went on following casualties on both sides. The following is civilian casualties after the tense firefight.
Agios by now full of APD officers, was surrounded by the U.N.M.C and surrendered. The 10 APD captives were sorted,a few were executed in cold blood. The bodies were found burnt and left in a shallow grave.

Following the violent actions of the militant group, Major General Giles Hill visited the Altis News Station to make a broadcast message to all known radio sources. This was to address the public and any known affiliations with U.N.M.C. “This is Major General Giles Hill of the 1st UK Division, I like to address U.N.M.C of its recent actions during the past few weeks as considered an act of terror. The British government has asked that your organization leave from these area’s and remain behind your border. The high command of U.N.M.C has also been asked to come forward and surrender. If U.N.M.C refuses these terms the UK military will use lethal force by any means to insure order is placed on the island. You must come with a decision soon and quickly.” The Major General also sat down with Director Altis News Ozzycazy to discuss the plan of action. “I furthermore am disgusted by their actions to officers and civilians, leaving many without fathers.” The Major General left soon after with a convoy of Hunters to the secret location of the preparation of the strike.
